  • Patent number: 10971863
Abstract: A high speed connector assembly and an electrical connector thereof are provided. The electrical connector includes an insulating housing and a plurality of signal terminals fixed in the insulating housing. The insulating housing is in an elongated shape defining a longitudinal direction, and defines an insertion direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. The signal terminals are arranged in two rows each parallel to the longitudinal direction, and the signal terminals in one of the two rows respectively face that in the other row. Each of the signal terminals includes a signal fixing segment engaged with the insulating housing, a signal contacting segment, and a signal soldering segment. The signal contacting segment has a main transmission point and a secondary transmission point, which are spaced apart from each other along the insertion direction. The main transmission point is closer to the signal fixing segment than the secondary transmission point.

  • Patent number: 10535947
Abstract: A floating connector includes an insulating housing and conductive terminals. Each conductive terminal has a first portion and a second portion extending from the first portion. Each first portion is inserted into the insulating housing and includes a contacting segment that is at least partially exposed from the insulating housing. Each second portion does not contact with the insulating housing and includes a soldering segment. In each of the conductive terminals, a signal transmission path is defined between the contacting segment and the soldering segment, a frequency adjusting path is defined between the soldering segment and a position of the second portion that is connected to the first portion, and a length of the frequency adjusting path is 40%-60% of a length of the signal transmission path, so that each of the conductive terminals can transmit a high-frequency signal satisfying the SAS 3.0 standard.

  • Patent number: 10199761
Abstract: A floating connector includes an insulating housing, a plurality of conductive terminals installed on the insulating housing, and two soldering members. The insulating housing includes an inserting portion, two extending portions respectively connected to two opposite ends of the inserting portion, and two covering portions respectively located at the two extending portions. The inner walls of each covering portion and the corresponding extending portion co-define a limiting slot having a limiting wall and two limiting holes arranged facing the limiting wall. The two soldering members are respectively and movably arranged in the two limiting slots. Each soldering member includes a beam facing the corresponding limiting wall, two elastic arms connected to the beam and respectively arranged in the two corresponding limiting holes, and two soldering tails respectively connected to two opposite ends of the beam and passing through the corresponding limiting slot.

  • Patent number: 10096914
Abstract: A floating connector includes an inserting chamber and a plurality of conductive terminals. The inserting chamber includes two opposite side walls each having a plurality of fixing portions. The conductive terminals are respectively fastened to the fixing portions of the inserting chamber. Each conductive terminal includes a contact segment, a curved segment, an elastic segment, and a fixing segment. The contact segment is arranged in the inserting chamber. A first end of the curved segment is connected to the contact segment, and an opposite second end of the curved segment is fixed to the corresponding fixing portion. Two opposite ends of the elastic segment are respectively connected to the second end of the curved segment and the fixing segment. The inserting chamber is movable relative to the fixing segments, and the elastic segments can provide an elastic force to the inserting chamber by being pressed.

  • Publication number: 20170294750
Abstract: A high frequency electrical connector is described. The high frequency electrical connector comprises an insulated housing forming a plurality of first contact slots and a plurality of second contact slots along an arrangement direction within the insulated housing. A plurality of first type conductive contacts are inserted to the first contact slots correspondingly and a plurality of second type conductive contacts are inserted to the second contact slots correspondingly. When a plurality of first free end portions of the first type conductive contacts electrically connects the corresponding contacts of the mating electrical connector for transmitting a high frequency signal to the mating electrical connector, the high frequency electrical connector is capable of advantageously reducing the signal decay of the high frequency signal.
