  • Publication number: 20080155775
Abstract: The mop has a flat holder and a mop covering attached to the underside of the holder and projecting from an edge of the holder with an edge protection border. The mop can be wrung in a corresponding device. The wringing device has a first pressing element and a second pressing element, which traverse the holder with the mop covering and which squeeze the mop cover in order to wring it. One of the pressing elements continuously extends over the entire width of the mop covering perpendicular to the direction of movement of the holder. The other pressing element has two parts with a gap in between for allowing the passage of a handle joined to the holder. In the vicinity of the gap formed by the pressing element, the edge protection border is formed so that it does not absorb and dirt and/or moisture.

  • Publication number: 20080141477
Abstract: A method cleans a wet mop having a planar holding device on which a mop cover is disposed. The method uses a washing apparatus for washing the mop cover disposed on the holding device, the washing apparatus has an electromotive drive unit which is supplied with power from an accumulator and by which the wet mop is retracted and conveyed to the washing apparatus. The power input from the accumulator is limited during the time the wet mop is retracted. Additionally or alternatively, retracting of the wet mop is supported by an energy store that has previously been supplied with power from the accumulator.

  • Publication number: 20070289084
Abstract: A device for wringing out a mop with a flat holder on the underside of which a mop cover is disposed. The device includes a wringing device, embodied as a squeezing device with a press roller and a counter-surface. The press roller and the counter-surface form a through gap between them for the holder and the mop cover and are arranged and aligned such as to be able to press the holder together with the mop cover between them to wring out the mop cover. The press roller and the counter-surface may be relatively adjusted by a single adjuster either manually or automatically and set to defined selectable separation values.

  • Patent number: 7200511
Abstract: A method and a device for identifying an object among several possible objects permits an object to be automatically identified among several possible objects and can be used, for example, in household appliances. The invention improves automatic identification of these objects so that the objects can be reliably recognized without error by identifying the inherent properties of the objects such that additional identification marks can be avoided. Depending upon the number and type of the objects that are to be distinguished, the method includes determining at least a sufficient amount of measured values for measuring different physical properties so that the object is identified based upon at least one physical property thereof.

  • Mop
    Patent number: 7178194
Abstract: A mop has a holder for attaching a mop covering. The holder is composed of an at least substantially rigid core and of a flexible edge lining that is placed along a part or all of the edge of the flat core, and/or the mop covering projects beyond the holder on at least one portion of the periphery of the holder. The core is preferably encapsulated with the material of the edge lining by injection molding in order to achieve an improved joining and the provision of a small gap between the core and the edge lining.

  • Patent number: 7178195
Abstract: A device for wringing moisture from a mop includes pressure elements between which a holder of the mop, together with a mop cover attached thereto, can be pressed. The mop cover projects beyond the holder, thereby forming a cushion at edges of the holder in order to prevent the holder from doing damage, for example to furniture. In order to be able to wring moisture in a defined manner from both the projecting edge of the mop cover as well as the portion thereof covered by the holder, the two interacting pressure elements form a gap having a height which decreases toward the edges. In particular, the height decreases in a gradual manner. The pressure elements are preferably rollers, several cylinder sections of which can have different diameters in order to be able to obtain gap sections of different heights.
