  • Patent number: 10334151
Abstract: A light-field camera may have enhanced autofocus functionality that does not require a dedicated optical pathway or dedicated sensors, and yet brings the camera rapidly into focus for image capture. According to one method, light may be received through the aperture of a light-field camera, with the main lens of the light-field camera at a first focus setting. The light may be directed to a sensor of the light-field camera via an optical pathway. The sensor may capture the light to generate preliminary light-field data. In a processor, the preliminary light-field data may be used to generate an offset, which may be used to refocus the main lens to a second focus setting. Additional light may be directed along the same optical pathway and captured with the main lens at the second focus setting to capture a focused light-field image.

  • Patent number: 8363847
Abstract: An aliasing correction in a wave field synthesis system is achieved by ascertaining the aliasing filter property specific for a virtual source. This aliasing filter property, which, for example, may be the aliasing frequency is ascertained by help of the source position information. This aliasing filter property is used for an adaptive anti-aliasing filter for adaptive filtering of the audio signal associated with the source or the component signals associated with the source.

  • Patent number: 8189824
Abstract: In a reproduction area where there are at least three directional groups, each of which has speakers, triggering of the speakers is achieved in that a source path from a first directional group position to a second directional group position is initially obtained along with movement information for the source path. Subsequently, a source path parameter is calculated for different points in time on the basis of the movement information, the source path parameter indicating a position of an audio source on the source path. In addition, a path modification command is received to define a compensation path to the third directional zone, a value of the source path parameter further being stored at a location where the compensation path deviates from the source path, and being used, along with a compensation parameter, for calculating weighting factors for the speakers of the three directional groups.

  • Patent number: 8160280
Abstract: In a reproduction environment, speakers are grouped in directional groups, wherein the directional groups overlap with respect to the associated speakers so that speakers are present which have a speaker parameter having different values for the first directional group and the second directional group. A controller for controlling a plurality of speakers has a provider for providing a source position of an audio source, wherein the source position is located between the first directional group position and the second directional group position. The apparatus further has a calculator for calculating a speaker signal for the at least one speaker, based on the first parameter value for the speaker parameter and based on the second parameter value for the speaker parameter.

  • Patent number: 7275036
Abstract: A time-discrete audio signal is processed to provide a quantization block with quantized spectral values. Furthermore, an integer spectral representation is generated from the time-discrete audio signal using an integer transform algorithm. The quantization block having been generated using a psychoacoustic model is inversely quantized and rounded to then form a difference between the integer spectral values and the inversely quantized rounded spectral values. The quantization block alone provides a lossy psychoacoustically coded/decoded audio signal after the decoding, whereas the quantization block, together with the combination block, provides a lossless or almost lossless coded and again decoded audio signal in the decoding. By generating the differential signal in the frequency domain, a simpler coder/decoder structure results.
