Abstract: Valve for blocking and releasing a flow path, having an electromagnetic actuator unit, an armature movable by the electromagnetic actuator unit, and a closure element connected to the armature. The closure element blocks and releases a flow path. A housing receives the armature and a first axial end of the closure element, a housing part forms a valve seat and against which a second axial end of the closure element is pressed by a spring device in a closed position of the valve. The spring device has at least one spring compressible at a first spring rate starting from a fully closed position of the valve to a partially open intermediate position of the valve, and a spring compressible at a second spring rate starting from a partially open intermediate position of the valve to a fully open position of the valve.

  • Patent number: 7237453
Abstract: A power control device for drive motors in motor vehicles, in particular an accelerator pedal, includes an operating lever which may be operated by an operating force against a return force from a rest position on pivoting about a pivot axis. A damping device for damping the pivot motion of the operating lever is also included. The damping device is a friction device which includes a friction element. The friction element acts upon a component of the operating lever such that in addition to the return force a friction force is also overcome during a pivot movement of the operating lever in a direction away from the rest position.

  • Patent number: 7066049
Abstract: The present invention relates to an accelerator pedal for a motor vehicle, especially one with an automatic gearbox. The pedal includes a pedal arm which in one end area thereof is pivotally mounted about a pivoting axis and which in the other end thereof is provided with a pedal plate which can be impinged upon the force by the driver. When force is exerted upon the pedal plate, the pedal arm can be pivoted into an absolute final position when a kick down switch is actuated, wherein a signal can be produced by the kick down switch and can be fed to a control electronics system. The kick down switch comprises a permanent magnet, the magnet force thereof being used to retain a magnetically conducting component on a magnetic return element whereby the component can be moved away from the magnetic return element as a result of the movement of the pedal arm into an end position.

  • Patent number: 7032877
Abstract: An actuator has a drive shaft connected to a valve flap. A toothed quadrant is mounted to be rotatable about the first axis of rotation of the drive shaft. A further quadrant is arranged in parallel with the toothed quadrant and is fixedly connected to the drive shaft. A two-armed lever is mounted between the toothed quadrant and the further quadrant to be rotatable about a second axis of rotation of a pin which is arranged in parallel with the first axis of rotation on the side, which faces the toothed quadrant, of the further quadrant. The toothed quadrant has a cutout and a projection is arranged on the two-armed lever at the end of the second lever arm of said two-armed lever and is directed into the cutout. The further quadrant has a third stop for the second toothed quadrant.

  • Patent number: 6840260
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for producing a housing of a valve connection piece and to a valve connection piece. The housing includes a throughflow opening wherein a valve is pivotably arranged around a pivoting axis extending in a perpendicular position with respect to the longitudinal extension of the throughflow opening. When in a closed position, the valve rests with the radially peripheral edge thereof in a beginning area of the valve on the inner wall of the throughflow opening. The beginning area of the valve extends from the resting area of the butterfly valve on the inner wall of the throughflow opening in the direction which the valve flap opens and has a circular cross section which is offset along the pivoted longitudinal axis of the throughflow opening. The inflow and outflow areas which are adjacent to the beginning area of the valve on the inflow and outflow side spread outwards in a conical manner.
