  • Patent number: 4310766
Abstract: In an exemplary embodiment, an x-ray grid for shielding the film from stray radiation is formed of two U-shaped metal plates with interfitted sections at the respective sides, projecting laterally for coupling the grid to its drive and guidance elements. Known stray radiation grids are mounted in a metal plate frame which is moved by means of the motor drive. The disclosure shows a way by means of which the plate metal frame can be avoided and the structural thickness can be reduced. In a preferred embodiment, one guide section can be brought into releasable positive locking engagement with a support mounting part of the motor drive, and the other guide section is releasably engageable in a channel guideway of the housing, so that the two plates and interfitted sections with their enclosed lead (Pb) lamellae can be quickly removed and replaced when required.
