  • Patent number: 10711248
Abstract: A method and device for standardizing myoblast differentiation into myotubes, including a substrate (1) and at least one cell-adhesive pattern (2) for culturing myoblasts on the substrate. The pattern (2) has an elongated surface. A central region (2C) and two lateral regions (2L) extend from the central region in both directions along a longitudinal axis of the pattern. The ratio between the maximum width (WC) of the central region (2C) and the maximum width (WL) of the lateral regions (2L) is greater than or equal to 2. The ratio between the length (L) and the maximum width (WC) of the pattern (2) is less than or equal to 4. The method includes providing a device as described above, depositing myoblasts on at least one cell-adhesive pattern of the device, culturing the myoblasts in a differentiation medium to promote cell differentiation into myotubes and constrain elongation of the myotubes.

  • Publication number: 20160312187
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for standardizing myoblast differentiation into myotubes, comprising a substrate (1) and at least one cell-adhesive pattern (2) for culturing myoblasts on said substrate, wherein: said pattern (2) has an elongated surface comprising a central region (2C) and two lateral regions (2L) extending from said central region in both directions along a longitudinal axis of the pattern with a contour discontinuity between the central region (2C) and each lateral region (2L), the ratio between the maximum width (WC) of the central region (2C) and the maximum width (WL) of the lateral regions (2L) is greater than or equal to 2, the ratio between the length (L) and the maximum width (WC) of the pattern (2) is less than or equal to 4.

  • Publication number: 20140322742
Abstract: The present invention relates to devices and associated methods for forming three-dimensional multicellular assemblies in vitro. Specifically, the present invention relates to devices comprising at least one three-dimensional multicellular assembly immobilised on a two-dimensional adhesive pattern, wherein said three-dimensional multicellular assembly has an organised structure with a normalised polarity and methods for the formation of three-dimensional multicellular assemblies having an organised structure.

  • Publication number: 20040105858
Abstract: The present invention relates generally to the regulation of immune responses of subjects for the diagnosis and treatment of infertility. More particularly, methods that downregulate T helper 1 (Th1) immunity or upregulate T helper 2 (Th2) immunity are used to enhance reproductive outcomes in subjects with recurrent spontaneous abortions or implantation failures by changing the balance of T helper 1 and T helper 2 immune responses. Ratios of Th1 and Th2 activities can also be used for diagnosis of infertility in these subjects.

  • Patent number: 6698900
Abstract: A projection and display system for reverse projection of imagery includes an imagery projection system having a lens barrel for projecting images. The imagery projection system extends into a substantially closed, geometric viewing surface, such that the lens barrel is disposed at a predetermined distance from and at a predetermined orientation relative to an interior surface of the geometric viewing surface. The images are projected onto an interior surface of the geometric viewing surface. The images may be defined in vector coordinates or in raster coordinates.
