Abstract: An arthroscopic surgery device for delivering a therapeutic formulation into a cartilage of an articular joint, wherein the device comprises: a flexible tubular delivery arm, comprising one or more internal channels for carrying the therapeutic formulation; a flexible external sleeve enveloping the delivery arm lengthwise; a pliable cup attached to an end of the delivery arm, for covering a cartilage part where the therapeutic formulation is to be delivered, arranged such that by outwards axial displacement of the delivery arm in respect to the external sleeve, the cup moves from inside to outside of the external sleeve, expanding the cup. The device may comprise a flexible internal sleeve between the delivery arm and the external sleeve, such that the flexible internal sleeve envelops the delivery arm lengthwise. The arthroscopic surgery device may be also used for extracting fluid from an articular cavity.

Abstract: The present application discloses a medical device useful for the diagnosis and/or treatment follow-up of human joints, in particular a device for positioning human joints for CT-scan and MRI. The medical device allows an accurate and comprehensive assessment of human joints, characterizing quantitatively biomechanical consequences, whole joint kinematics alterations, cartilage mechanical behavior under pressure and clinical susceptibility to further damage.

Abstract: There is described an ulvan containing composition. This composition is a viscosupplement composition and can be used in the treatment or prophylaxis of arthritis. Also described is a method of treating a musculoskeletal disease, such as 5 arthritis, by administering the ulvan containing composition.

Abstract: Featured are a device, a surgical kit and an osteotomy method for aligning a bone or bony structure. Such a method includes providing a base member that extends in at least two directions and spans the cut in the bone; a securing mechanism mechanically coupled to the base member for securing the base member to the bone; and an adjusting mechanism coupled to the base member and including at least one first portion. Such a method includes securing one end of the base member to the bone using the securing mechanism and rotating the at least one first portion so it contacts at least one of the opposing surfaces of the cut thereby maintain the two opposing surfaces in fixed spaced relation. Such a method also includes securing the base member's other end to the bone using the securing mechanism.
