  • Patent number: 11046835
Abstract: Polymeric compositions may include one or more adjunct polymers selected from a group of an ionomer and a polar polymer; and an intelligent additive, wherein when exposed to the external stimuli, the intelligent additive triggers a color change in the polymeric composition. Polymer compositions may include a nonpolar matrix polymer; one or more adjuncts selected from the group of an ionomer, a polar polymer, a metal salt, or combinations thereof. Polymer compositions may also include an intelligent additive, wherein when exposed to the external stimuli, the intelligent additive triggers a color change in the polymeric composition, wherein after at least 17 hours of exposure to the external stimuli, the polymer composition exhibits a ?E of at least 8 or more, maintaining the ?E of at least 8 or more for at least 5 days after the exposure to external stimulus is ceased.

  • Patent number: 10144817
Abstract: The present invention relates to active and intelligent additives having hybrid characteristics, that are compatible with polymers, are thermally and mechanically stable, are capable of releasing electrons and/or photons in the presence of chemical compounds, specifically amino compounds, amide compounds, oxygen reducing compounds, water or vapors thereof. The active and intelligent additives incorporate themselves into polymer matrices allowing the obtainment of active and intelligent polymeric articles. These active and intelligent polymeric articles may act as inhibitors of growth of microorganisms and fungi, as well as indicators of the presence of gasses, either in the atmosphere or caused by the decomposition of foodstuffs, for example.

  • Patent number: 9994648
Abstract: The present invention describes a metallocene catalyst based on a transition metal of group 4 or 5 of the periodic table, supported on a hybrid catalytic support provided with aliphatic organic groups, and a process for supporting metallocene on the hybrid catalytic support. The supported metallocene catalyst provides an ethylene polymer with broad or bimodal molecular weight distribution, in the presence of only one metallocene complex on the support.

  • Publication number: 20150274852
Abstract: The present invention relates to a metallocene catalyst based on a transition metal of group 4 or 5 of the periodic table, supported on a hybrid catalytic support provided with aliphatic organic groups. One also describes a process for supporting metallocene on said hybrid catalytic support of aliphatic organic groups. The supported metallocene catalyst of the present invention exhibits, as its main advantage, the fact of producing an ethylene polymer with broad or bimodal molar mass distribution, by using only one type of metallocene complex on the support. As a result, on obtains, better processability of the resin obtained and, therefore, a potential reduction of the processing cost.
