  • Patent number: 11674277
Abstract: A snowblower comprises an auger housing extending along a longitudinal axis and being configurable in a compacted configuration and in an extended configuration wherein a length of the auger housing considered along the longitudinal axis is greater in the at least one extended configuration than in the compacted configuration; and an auger assembly mounted to the auger housing and comprising: a telescopic drive shaft assembly including at least first and second shaft sections slidably mounted to each other to substantially conform to the length of the auger housing in each one of the compacted configuration and the at least one extended configuration; and snow-gathering devices mounted to the at least first and second shaft sections and rotatable therewith.

  • Patent number: 11072907
Abstract: A method for mounting a surface-formation equipment to a mobile unit includes an equipment-engaging support and has a traction point in contact with the ground. The method includes configuring the equipment-engaging support of the mobile unit at a minimum height; configuring the surface-formation equipment with respect to the mobile unit in a configuration wherein a lower surface of the surface-formation equipment is in a same plane as the traction point on the ground of the mobile unit. The surface-formation equipment mounts to the equipment-engaging support of the mobile unit with the equipment-engaging support being maintained at the minimum height and with the lower surface of the surface-formation equipment being in the same plane as the traction point on the ground of the mobile unit.

  • Publication number: 20210095433
Abstract: There is provided a snowblower comprising a frame with a transversally extending portion; an auger assembly mounted to the frame and comprising a rotating axle extending substantially parallel to the transversally extending portion and a snow-gathering device mounted to rotating axle and rotating therewith about an auger rotating axis at an auger revolution speed; an impeller assembly mounted to the frame and comprising a snow-expelling device rotatable about an impeller rotation axis at an impeller revolution speed, the impeller rotation axis extending substantially parallel to the auger rotating axis; an actuator assembly configured to engage the auger and impeller assemblies in rotation wherein the impeller revolution speed is greater than the auger revolution speed; and a discharge chute mounted to the frame and having a discharge chute inlet adjacent to the impeller assembly. There is also provided a method for clearing away snow.
