  • Publication number: 20240026577
Abstract: A spinning element of an air-jet spinning nozzle for an air-jet spinning machine for producing a yarn from a sliver using an airflow. The spinning element of the air-jet spinning nozzle for the air-jet spinning machine and a corresponding air-jet spinning nozzle allows a particularly inexpensive, low-maintenance, and simple operation of an air-jet spinning machine without compromising the quality and strength of the air-jet spun yarn and without requiring frequent cleaning. This is achieved in that the spinning element has at least one fibre- and/or thread-guiding surface, an anti-adhesive coating being located on at least some sections of the fibre- and/or thread-guiding surface.

  • Publication number: 20200340149
Abstract: A suction channel end part for removing fiber flight in the region of a drafting system by the application of negative pressure, the suction channel end part having a first component, to which negative pressure is applied and which has an inlet and an outlet communicating with the inlet. The suction channel end part is characterised in that the suction channel end part has a second component, which is designed as a cover element and to which negative pressure is applied and which can be exchangeably connected to the first component. The second component has an opening, which, in the joined state of the suction channel end part, forms a suction port, which communicates with the inlet and via which the fiber flight is removed into the suction channel end part when a negative pressure is applied.

  • Publication number: 20070277497
Abstract: The invention relates to a fiber guide channel for an open-end spinning device and to a method for producing such a fiber guide channel. Fiber guide channels are known per se and serve for the pneumatic transport of individual fibers which are combed out of a feed fiber assembly by an opening cylinder that rotates in an opening cylinder housing, to a spinning rotor running at high speed in a rotor housing that can be subjected to a negative pressure. According to the invention, the fiber guide channel (13) is configured as a hollow body whose internal diameter decreases towards its orifice (26). The fiber guide channel (13) is produced according to a method of manufacturing wherein a first over-sized blank shape is produced by injection molding from a mixture of a sinterable material and a binder. Said blank is converted to a porous intermediate shape by removing the binder and brought into a final shape which requires little finishing by sintering.

  • Publication number: 20040016224
Abstract: A sliver delivery and opening device having a pivotably seated sliver intake cylinder driven by a worm gear arrangement comprising a worm wheel connected to the sliver intake cylinder that meshes with a worm affixed to a drive shaft. The worm includes thread windings conforming to a superimposed profile that axially offsets the worm relative to the worm wheel, thus preventing placement of a tooth of the worm wheel on a thread head of the worm when the worm wheel pivotally engages the worm. The amount of offset is measured between a plane of symmetry intersecting the superimposed profile of the worm thread windings and a pivot plane intersecting a center axis of the worm wheel. A positioning device, comprising at least one magnet and a ferromagnetic positioning element, prepositions the worm wheel relative to the pivot plane for pivotal engagement of the worm wheel and the worm.

  • Patent number: 6082090
Abstract: A method for producing a spinning box frame for an open-end spinning machine wherein lateral elements (2, 3) of a spinning box frame (1) are connected with interposed bracing elements (4, 5, 6) by means of a welding process which substantially prevents the occurrence of heat distortion tensions. The bracing elements (4, 5, 6) are joined by means of a laser welding process, preferably with a CO.sub.2 laser, squarely on the interior wall (20) of the lateral elements (2, 3). The components (2 to 6) of the spinning box frame (1) are fixed in place in a welding device (26), which permits the exact positioning of the individual components during the laser welding process.

  • Patent number: 5916118
Abstract: So that stray fibers do not become attached to the rotor during a yam piecing process in the spinning box of a rotor spinning machine, the rotor may be cleaned by an air flow generated by drawing air into the rotor by the prevailing spinning vacuum or by blowing compressed air into the rotor through a closable opening in the rotor chamber. To avoid the danger that soiling of the closure of the opening will permit aspiration of secondary air and impair control of the air supply, the closure is formed as a slide member with a leading edge configured for cleaning the opening during closing movement.
