  • Publication number: 20220112981
Abstract: The invention relates to a lubricant dispenser comprising a storage container (1) filled with lubricant and a pump unit (2) which can be connected to or is releasably connected to the storage container and by means of which the lubricant can be pumped from the storage container (1) to an outlet (5) of the pump unit (2) and is equipped with an electronic controller (35). The lubricant dispenser is characterized in that the storage container (1) is equipped with an electronic coding means (36) which can be connected to the electronic controller (35) of the pump unit (2) and can be read by same so as to transmit information in the assembled state in order to identify the storage container (1).

  • Patent number: 9689530
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of dosing lubricating grease with a lubricant dispenser (1), comprising a lubricant cartridge (3) filled with lubricating grease (2) and holding a plunger (4) for expelling the lubricating grease (2), a spindle (6) driven by a direct-current drive motor (5) for moving the plunger (4), a power supply (7), a controller (8) for operating the motor (5) with a microcontroller (9), and a device (10) for interrupting the motor current flowing through the motor (5). The motor (5) is started up by the controller (8) in adjustable time intervals and a dose of dispensed agent is expressed from the cartridge (3) through a plunger motion with a predetermined plunger stroke. The motor current and the motor voltage are measured during motor operation, and the motor runtime, and the plunger stroke is calculated with the current and voltage measured values and at least one motor characteristic.

  • Publication number: 20160327208
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for dispensing lubricating grease by means of a lubricant dispenser (1) in a metered manner, said lubricant dispenser having a lubricant cartridge (3) which is filled with lubricating grease (2) and has a piston (4) for expressing the lubricating grease, a spindle (6), which is driven by a direct-current drive motor (5), for moving the piston (4), a voltage source (7) and a control electronics system (8) for driving the motor (5) using a microcontroller, and a device (10) for interrupting the motor current flowing through the motor. The motor (5) is put into operation by the control electronics system (8) in adjustable time intervals, wherein a partial quantity of dispensing agent is expressed from the cartridge (3) as a result of a piston movement with a defined piston stroke.

  • Patent number: 9435485
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for dispensing a lubricant (3) in a metered manner by means of a lubricant dispenser, which comprises a lubricant cartridge (2) filled with lubricant (3), at least one electrochemical gas-generating cell (4), and on control electronics (1) for controlling the gas-generating cell (4). The control electronics (1) comprise a microcontroller (8) and a switch (9) for interrupting the current flowing through the gas-generating cell (4). At adjustable time intervals, the circuit through the gas-generating cell (4) is closed by the control electronics (1) and lubricant (3) is displaced from the cartridge (2) by the released gas. During the gas generation, the electric current flowing through the gas-generating cell (4) is measured and the charge that has flowed through the gas-generating cell (4) is added up. The circuit is interrupted when the added-up charge has exceeded a specified cumulative amount of charge.

  • Patent number: 8978828
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for metered dispensing of lubricants using a lubricant dispenser comprising a reservoir chamber filled with lubricant, a gas generating unit for electrochemically generating gas, a piston acted on by the generated gas for outputting the lubricant from the reservoir chamber, and an electronic control unit for controlling the electrochemical gas generation. According to the invention, the temperature of the lubricant or the environment is measured at time intervals, and an average temperature value is derived from a plurality of measured temperature values. Using stored correction values describing the temperature-dependence of the electrochemical gas generating rate, a control parameter determining the electrochemical gas generation is set for the average temperature value, having the requirement that the gas generating rate at the average temperature value corresponds to the target value that correlates to prescribed dispensing time.
