  • Patent number: 11884764
Abstract: The invention concerns the field of polymer chemistry and relates to membranes, such as those that can be used, for example, for the preparation of aqueous solutions using microfiltration or ultrafiltration. The object of the present invention is to specify membranes which have improved anti-fouling properties and sliding friction properties. The object is attained with membranes comprised at least predominantly of multiblock copolymers of the general formula (1) where X=connection point E=C2 to C4 alkyl ether A=other block component not containing silicone R=C1 to C4 alkyl radical and/or phenyl radical m=1<m<500 n=0?n<100 o=1<o<10 p=1<p<10 z=1<z<25, the molar ratio of the silicone-containing block component and the other block component A in the multiblock copolymer is between 5:1 and 1:5, and wherein the silicon-containing block components are predominantly arranged at the surface of the membranes.

  • Publication number: 20170326540
Abstract: The present invention concerns the field of polymer chemistry and relates to water-insoluble anion exchange materials as they are used, for example, for anion exchange membranes or as anion exchange resins. The object of the invention is the specification of water-insoluble anion exchange materials which exhibit improved insolubility in water. The object is attained by water-insoluble anion exchange materials, at least composed of linearly polymerized and/or branched and/or crosslinked anion exchange groups C, which are part of the structural units according to at least one of the general formulas I to VIII.

  • Publication number: 20170036173
Abstract: The invention concerns the field of polymer chemistry and relates to membranes, such as those used as membranes for the preparation of aqueous solutions by means of reverse osmosis or microfiltration, ultrafiltration or nanofiltration, for example. The object of the present invention is the specification of membranes that exhibit a reduced fouling tendency with equally suitable or improved filtration properties, as well as the specification of a simple and cost-effective method for the production thereof.

  • Patent number: 8163864
Abstract: The invention relates to the field of polymer chemistry and relates to sulfonated polyarylene compounds such as can be used for example in ion exchange membranes in fuel cells, as well as a method for the production thereof and the use thereof. The object of the present invention is to disclose hydrolytically and thermally resistant sulfonated polyarylene compounds with a defined degree and position of sulfonation, from which membrane materials with an improved resistance to hydrolysis can be produced. The object is attained through sulfonated polyarylene compounds according to at least one of the general formulas (I)-(IV).
