    Abstract: A spacer may include a spacer body configured to be connected to a cable tie tensioning and severing tool, the cable tie tensioning and severing tool being configured for installation of a cable tie, the cable tie including a head and an elongated tail extending from the head, wherein the spacer is configured to space the head of the cable tie away from the cable tie tensioning and severing tool such that a portion of the tail protrudes from the head upon the tail being severed by the cable tie tensioning and severing tool.
