  • Patent number: 10677062
Abstract: This disclosure provides methods and systems for using coatings to control component dimensions during operations of a mechanical system, such as gas turbine combustion air cooling system. The mechanical system may have a component with a critical dimension defined by at least one surface. Upon detecting a change in the critical dimension, such as from surface erosion, a coating additive is deployed into the mechanical system. The surface is coated with the coating additive to offset at least a portion of the change in the critical dimension.

  • Patent number: 10565566
Abstract: Systems and methods for ordering a replacement component or repair service are disclosed. According to some aspects, condition data indicating a condition of a consumable component may be generated by sensor and transmitted to an order assistance system. The order assistance system may determine whether the consumable component requires at least one of replacement or repair by comparing the condition data with one or more maintenance parameters. Additionally, in response to a determination that the consumable component requires at least one of replacement or repair, the order assistance system may recommend at least one of a replacement component or a repair service in accordance with one or more order parameters pre-selected by a user. In some aspects, an insurance policy associated with the consumable component may be adjusted based on the successful repair or replacement of the consumable component.

  • Patent number: 10521864
Abstract: An insurance server for using a tokenized icon to provide an insurance quote or submit an insurance claim may include a processor programmed to receive an image from a user application, and data associated with the image, wherein at least a portion of the obtained data is associated as metadata with the tokenized icon. The processor may instruct the user application to use an icon associated with the tokenized icon as a first graphical object, and to modify, in response to an association of the first graphical object with a second graphical object in the user application, the metadata of the tokenized icon based upon data associated with the second graphical object. The processor may transmit the virtual quote or proposed insurance claim to the user application, the virtual quote or proposed insurance claim being based upon the modified metadata. As a result, the online customer experience may be enhanced.

  • Patent number: 10515415
Abstract: Methods, systems, apparatus, and non-transitory computer readable media are described for integrating the online purchase of a product with the purchase of an insurance policy providing coverage for the product. When a customer initiates the purchase of a product through an online retailer, various aspects include obtaining personal information for the customer, as well as product information for the product. Based upon this information, various aspects may include determining whether the customer is eligible to purchase insurance, and assessing a level of risk in providing a particular type of insurance coverage to the customer. Additionally, various aspects may further include determining an insurance quote based upon this level of risk and transmitting an offer to purchase the insurance policy to the customer. The customer may then purchase the product and insurance policy in one transaction such that binding insurance coverage for the product is provided at the time of purchase.

  • Patent number: 10210577
Abstract: Systems and methods for capturing digital image data associated with a property for an insurance quote are described. According to certain aspects, a mobile device may enable a user to capture digital image data and/or a video stream and other information of house features and characteristics that may be used to determine insurability and estimated replacement cost of the property. The mobile device may enable the user to capture the information at the property location, which may eliminate the need for a manual assessment or characterization of home features by a homeowner. A back-end server may receive the data, analyze the data to generate an insurance quote (and/or insurance application) for the property, and transmit the insurance quote (and/or application) to the mobile device for presentation to the user. The mobile device may enable the user to select terms, deductibles, limits, and/or coverages, and ultimately approve a homeowner's insurance policy.

  • Patent number: 9759131
Abstract: Methods and systems for imparting corrosion resistance to gas turbine engines are disclosed. Existing and/or supplemental piping is connected to existing compressor section air extraction piping and turbine section cooling air piping to supply water and anti-corrosion agents into areas of the gas turbine engine not ordinarily and/or directly accessible by injection of cleaning agents into the bellmouth of the turbine alone and/or repair methods. An anti-corrosion mixture is selectively supplied as an aqueous solution to the compressor and/or the turbine sections of the gas turbine engine to coat the gas turbine engine components therein with a metal passivation coating which mitigates corrosion in the gas turbine engine.
