  • Patent number: 4898300
Abstract: An improved bin for storing objects and providing better accessibility to the objects when removal is desired. The storage bin is provided with a hinged front wall or hopper having a top portion and a bottom portion. The hopper is shaped so that the top portion and the bottom portion provide a protrusion which extends outward from the front side of the bin in the closed position. When the hopper is in the closed position, the top and bottom portion define the front wall of the bin. When the hopper is in the open position, the bottom portion of the hopper provides a lateral extension of the base of the storage bin and the top portion of the hopper defines a laterally extended, reduced height front wall for the bin. The base of the storage bin is sloped towards the hopper to provide an automatic gravity feed of parts stored therein.

  • Patent number: 4453790
Abstract: Cabinet drawers are supported by a pair of runners each received within side grooves on the drawer. A first limit stop on the runners cooperates with a mating limit stop adjacent the rear end of the drawer to prevent the drawer from inadvertently being pulled completely out. A third limit stop is provided on the runners for cooperating with the second limit stop when sufficient upward force is applied to the drawers to cause the first limit stop to fail to contact, or to skip past, the second limit stop.

  • Patent number: 4308953
Abstract: An improved electrically conductive container for material handling, shipping and storing rigid planar objects, in particular such objects which have static sensitive devices thereon, and even as a production and in the manufacture of such objects. The electrically conductive container includes a cardboard container member formed from a substantially flat blank of cardboard material having electrically conductive material on the opposite sides thereof with the blank of cardboard material being cut and folded to define sidewalls and a bottom wall of the container member so that the interior surfaces of the cardboard container member are in electrical contact with the exterior surfaces of the cardboard container member.

  • Patent number: 4240240
Abstract: A method is provided for making a package having upper and lower foam cushion inserts which cooperate with each other to enclose an article therebetween which is placed in the package. The method includes the steps of forming convolutions in at least one surface of a piece of foam material to form a first foam insert, and then removing a section of convoluted foam material from the piece of foam material to form a cutout therein. Then, the removed section which forms the second foam insert is applied to one wall of a package with the unconvoluted surface thereof adhered to the wall, and the first foam insert is applied to an opposite wall of the package, with the second insert being in alignment with the cutout area of the first insert, whereby an article placed in the cutout area is cushioned between the foam material on the opposite walls of the package.
