  • Patent number: 11811293
Abstract: A power module for driving a motor is provided including a power circuit board, power switches operatively connected to the motor disposed on a first side of the circuit board, and positional sensors disposed on a side surface of the power circuit board facing the motor. The power circuit board includes a thermally-conductive core carrier layer, a first electrically-insulating layer disposed on a first surface of the core carrier layer and on which the power switches are mounted, and a second electrically-insulating layer disposed on a second surface of the core carrier layer and on which the positional sensors are mounted. The second electrically-insulating layer is etched to expose the conductive core layer on at least approximately 70% of a surface area of the second side of the circuit board.

  • Publication number: 20140266048
Abstract: A battery charger for charging a first battery pack and a second battery pack is disclosed. The charger includes a housing, a first and second charging circuit positioned within the housing, a first and second charging port coupled to the housing and electrically coupled the first and second charging circuits, respectively. The first charging port is configured to support the first battery pack and defines a first connection axis along which the first battery pack is movable to connect with the first charging circuit. The second charging port is configured to support the second battery pack and defines a second connection axis along which the second battery pack is movable to connect with the second charging circuit. The second charging port is configured to support the second battery pack while the first charging port supports the first battery pack.

  • Patent number: 7219434
Abstract: A metal cutting circular saw is provided with an upper blade guard which includes a first sight window disposed in a first side surface and disposed in a plane angularly offset from a plane of the blade. The upper blade guard also includes a second sight window disposed in the second side surface of the upper blade guard. A light window is disposed in a front portion of the perimeter outer surface of the upper blade guard. The upper blade guard is made from metal and the first and second sight windows and the light window are integrally formed as a one-piece member. The saw shoe and lower blade guard are configured to minimize chip spray from contacting a user.
