Abstract: A main channel formed in the hull of a shallow draft boat extends from the bow region of the boat through to the transom region of the boat. The main channel is of substantially uniform width from the shoulder of the boat to a recess formed in the transom adapted to retain an outboard motor. Forward of the shoulder, the channel flares out until it opens at the bow of the boat. A cooling channel extends above the top of the main channel at the stern of the boat to direct cooling water to the cooling water inlet of an outboard motor.
