  • Patent number: 9739066
Abstract: Panels usable for construction of a surface, to provide the surface with a desired appearance, durability, water, air, and fire resistance, dimensions, and weight include a layer of substrate material having first and second sides. Finish elements are positioned on the first side, while a backing material is positioned on the second side, such that the substrate bonds the finish elements to the backing material. Particulate material can also be included, such as within spaces between finish elements. Manufacture of such panels can include use of a vacuum system that acquires finish elements in a selected orientation, acquires particulate material into spaces unoccupied by finish elements, then deposits the arranged finish elements and particulate material into a mold for subsequent manufacturing steps. Use of lightweight, durable materials, such as magnesium oxide, can enable panels having a reduced thickness and weight to be manufactured, without sacrificing durability or longevity.

  • Patent number: 8499491
Abstract: A landscape edging system has edging strip material with ends having a laterally extending projection and adapted for overlapping relation when assembled and having end edges disposed in edge to edge relation. A stake clip member is mounted to each of the laterally extending projections and defines a stake receptacle. An installation stake extends through the vertically aligned stake receptacles and secures the end portions of adjacent strips of landscape edging material in said overlapping edge to edge relation and supports the landscape edging strip material in upright position. The installation stake and stake receptacles have interacting wedge shaped geometry that locks the ends of the strip material in assembly.

  • Patent number: 8353144
Abstract: A prefabricated composite wall panel has a desired exterior finish defined by thin finish elements of brick, stone or any other suitable material and is adapted for mounting to the wall structure of a building framework by screws or other suitable fasteners. During panel manufacture thin wall finish elements are positioned at predetermined sites within the mold and aligned by alignment members in a pattern defining grout spaces. A grout placement screed having multiple holes arranged in a desired mortar pattern is positioned on the thin finish elements and pulverulent grout is deposited through the holes of the screed and into spaces between the finish elements.

  • Patent number: 8353500
Abstract: A pre-manufactured fence system is constructed of horizontal rails, posts that form a fence field surface or and area and pickets or panels that complete the field. The posts and rails are hollow extruded members of polymer or metal material that are interconnected by bracket members that fit within bracket compartments of the rails. Bracket bar members are connected with the bracket members and are received within key-ways of the posts to properly position the rails with respect to the posts. The extruded components perform fence component positioning and establish pre-determined dimensioning and locations of the accompanying parts and pieces of the complete fence system and provide for component attachment that is not visible when the fence installation is completed.

  • Publication number: 20110186100
Abstract: A blind or shelter has a base structure with a framework mounted to the base structure and defines an access door opening. Composite wall and roof panels are mounted to the framework and have an intermediate structural core being embedded within a body of polymer foam material. At least some of the composite wall panels have window openings with window assemblies and define transparent moveable window panes for the window openings. An access door assembly is pivotally supported by the framework and is composed of a composite door panel formed of polymer foam material having a structural core panel embedded therein. The polymer foam is molded to have the appearance of faux tree bark or to have any other desired external appearance.
