  • Patent number: 9260004
Abstract: A method for verifying a drive torque applied by an electric machine in a hybrid drive of a motor vehicle, the motor vehicle being propelled by the electric machine and/or an internal combustion engine, and it being checked if the drive torque applied by the electric machine is determined accurately. In order to ensure that the operating strategy is correctly implemented and a shift in load level in the power train functions reliably during operation of the motor vehicle, the drive torque applied by the electric machine is evaluated with regard to its accuracy, using a drag torque generated by the combustion engine during an overrun fuel cut off.

  • Patent number: 8793975
Abstract: A device and a method are provided for diagnosing a technical apparatus which is particularly developed as an internal combustion engine. When specified states of the technical apparatus are present, the means of diagnosis are activated, and when at least one of the specified technical states is no longer present, the means of diagnosis are deactivated. Upon the deactivation, information is stored that identifies which technical state is no longer present.

  • Patent number: 6417604
Abstract: For a low-pressure gas discharge switch, at least two main electrodes are arranged at least a distance d from each other, the electrodes in an arcing chamber forming a cathode and an anode of a discharge path for the low-pressure gas discharge. The gas discharge is triggered by increasing the electron density in a cathode cavity, at least the cathode in its disk-shaped area having at least one aperture, the cathode and anode apertures preferably being opposite and aligned with each other, for triggering the discharge. An arrangement generating a magnetic field superimposed on the discharge between the main electrodes (1, 1a, 2, 2a) are assigned to the main electrodes (1, 1a, 2, 2a), with which either a predominantly parallel magnetic field is generated or a predominantly perpendicular one, with regard to the direction of current in the discharge.

  • Patent number: 6383152
Abstract: An apparatus produces intense pressure waves as shock waves for technical and preferably medical applications, especially for lithotripsy and/or pain therapy. Acoustic waves of high energy density are produced through the use of pressure pulsations. The pressure waves are produced by briefly heating a conductive electrolyte, whereby electric energy is converted directly and very largely without losses with the aid of an electric pulse for the purpose of heating up the electrolyte. The apparatus includes two electrodes which enclose the electrolyte and are controlled by a power pulse generator for outputting sound waves into a sound propagation medium.

  • Patent number: 6373669
Abstract: In switchgear with superordinate power circuit-breakers and a plurality of subordinate power circuit-breakers, the superordinate power circuit-breaker must be triggered in the event of failure of the subordinate power circuit-breakers. This is accomplished as follows: electrical post-arc currents are detected after current zero, the electrical post-arc currents are compared with a predetermined limit value, and if the limit value is exceeded, a signal is effected for triggering the superordinate power circuit-breaker in the switchgear. This method can advantageously be implemented in particular in the case of vacuum circuit-breakers with at least one vacuum interrupter. The associated arrangement has a device which monitors the subordinate power circuit-breakers and, if appropriate, triggers the superordinate power circuit-breaker.

  • Patent number: 4981839
Abstract: A method for producing a metal-oxidic superconductor material with a high transition temperature and an increased critical current density. The method comprises applying a layer of a metal-oxidic preliminary product comprising the components of the metal-oxidic material, with a crystal structure still having faults, to a substrate, and subsequently, forming the desired superconducting metal-oxide phase by means of a heat and oxygen treatment, where a critical current density of the layer is greater parallel to the surface of the layer than in the direction of the normal of the layer, and wherein the preliminary product is moved through a heated zone parallel to the surface of the layer at a predetermined velocity, wherein the zone has a positive maximum temperature gradient (.DELTA.T/.DELTA.x) measured in the direction of motion, of at least 5 K/mm and preferably of at least 10 to 50 K/mm.
