  • Publication number: 20230280725
Abstract: A method of providing a control software configuration for a module of a modular plant, the method including, in a module engineering phase: receiving a user definition for the module; and automatically generating the control software configuration for the module based on the user definition, the automatically generating including: specifying parameters for the module that are not specific to any target system; and providing the control software configuration as a controller-agnostic configuration file for subsequent binding of controller software instantiated according to the controller-agnostic configuration file to a hardware controller of the module when the module is integrated into a target system during a plant engineering phase.

  • Publication number: 20220416452
Abstract: A terminal block unit for an input/output device of a modular process control system includes two slot elements configured to receive two redundant signal conditioning units. The terminal block unit is configured to be housed in a pair of two adjacent slot elements of a module termination unit of an input/output device. The terminal block unit provides a parallel connection of the redundant signal conditioning units to a field device.

  • Publication number: 20220400590
Abstract: Various embodiments of the teachings herein include a device for detecting process parameters during a pass through an assembly line for assembling electronic components and/or for applying joining materials. The device may include: a carrier for transport by a conveying system of the assembly line and configured to receive a test plate; a sensor for measuring a process parameter during the pass; and a force sensor arranged to detect a force acting on the test plate during the pass.

  • Publication number: 20170242418
Abstract: A field communication interface, FCI, for interfacing field equipment with a network of an industrial control system, has a network interface that is configurable to participate in the network using a network address; a location determining unit configured to determine a location identifier that uniquely identifies the physical location of the FCI within the industrial control system and/or within the network; and an address determining unit configured to determine a network address that is valid in the network from the location identifier.

  • Patent number: 8467859
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for deriving and evaluating cardiovascular information from curves of the cardiac current, in particular for applications in telemedicine. According to the invention, for data reduction purposes, a mean value and a standard deviation across the whole recording time are initially determined from a recorded ECG from the high-resolution signal, after which the RR intervals are assessed by means of an identification algorithm and only the results obtained are transmitted and/or recorded, for the purpose of data reduction.

  • Patent number: 7953849
Abstract: A software product and method of monitoring a field device in an enterprise having an industrial process. A subscription to the OPC DA server for diagnostic data from the field device is made and a subscription to an OPC AE server for event notifications from the OPC AE server is made. The subscription to the OPC AE server is activated, but the subscription to the OPC DA server is not activated. When an event notification is received from the OPC AE server, the subscription to the OPC DA server is activated. Diagnostic data from the field device is received and device health information from the diagnostic data is generated. The device health information is displayed on a viewing monitor. The subscription to the OPC DA server is then deactivated.
