Abstract: A steering column arrangement for motor vehicles includes a steering column designed to be changeable in terms of its inclination and/or length and a clamping system having plate packs for fixing the steering column in a specific position. The steering column arrangement is designed for increasing the frictional force in the clamping system and/or for locking the clamping system, preferably by way of form-fitting engagement, with structure that acts automatically when a threshold load, acting on the steering column in the direction of its longitudinal axis, is exceeded.

Abstract: A steering column arrangement has a console arranged fixedly with respect to the vehicle and a steering column which has a steering column tube and a steering spindle mounted rotatably in the latter. The steering column is designed to be variable in its inclination and length, and a clamp for securing the steering column is provided. In order to increase the safety of the vehicle occupants, while at the same time maintaining known comfort functions, and to ensure a reliable use of the steering column arrangement, it is proposed to connect the steering column to the console by the clamp via a console slide which is mounted displaceably on the console. Furthermore, an actuation element operatively connected to the clamp is provided for releasing and locking the clamp, and the operative connection is releasable.

The sliding bush is fixedly connected to the outer steering column element by plastic, which is injection molded into depressions on the outer circumferential surface of the sliding bush.

Abstract: An adjustable steering spindle for a motor vehicle includes a steering spindle hub and a steering spindle shaft. The steering spindle shaft is moveably mounted in the steering spindle hub in the axial direction, and the steering spindle hub is rigidly connected to the steering spindle shaft rotationally. The spindle further includes a locking device that limits shape-lockingly an axial movement of the steering spindle shaft in the spindle hub, which movement elongates the steering spindle in the axial direction.
