  • Publication number: 20190110630
Abstract: An oven adapted for sous vide cooking is disclosed. The oven has an oven body defining an oven cavity and a heating element. The heating element is positioned within the oven and is controlled by a controlling element. A container having an outer wall defining a cavity adapted to receive liquid is placed upon a table within the oven cavity. A temperature sensor extends into the cavity adapted to receive liquid. The temperature sensor is in electrical communication with the controlling element and the heating element.

  • Publication number: 20190107287
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide a gas burner comprising a first venturi configured to supply fuel in a substantially horizontal direction and a second venturi configured to also supply fuel along a substantially horizontal direction. A burner bottom may be coupled to the first venturi and the second venturi, and the burner bottom may be configured to direct fuel from the first venturi and second venturi into a burner base positioned above the burner bottom. The burner base may provide an inner annular chamber and an outer annular chamber separated by a dividing wall, and the inner annular chamber may be configured to receive and direct fuel from the first venturi assembly circumferentially about the burner base and the outer annular chamber may be configured to receive and direct fuel from the second venturi assembly circumferentially about the burner base.

  • Publication number: 20060033700
Abstract: A control system display screen for appliances is provided with a backlighted screen for which the color may be varied. The backlighted screen is provided with a multiplicity of groups of three liquid crystal devices (“LCD”) in which each group has LCDs of three different colors with red, green and blue being the preferred colors. The intensity of the light emitted from each set of LCDs of a given color may be varied by a control manipulated by the operator to thereby provide a backlighted screen of virtually any desired color that may be created by mixing those three colors.

  • Publication number: 20060016801
Abstract: An oven temperature control system for an oven cell having a top heating element with two separate heating conductors in a top portion of the oven cell, a bottom heating element with two separate heating conductors in a bottom portion of the oven cell, and a convection heating element and fan. A control separately controls the on and off operations of each of the heating elements and the convection fan based on a selected mode of cooking operation and a selected temperature for cooking. A plurality of temperature sensors are positioned at different locations in the oven cell and operatively connected to the control. The control determines the selected temperature for cooking to be maintained in the oven cell by averaging selected temperatures sensed by the plurality of temperature sensors in predetermined proportions based on the selected mode of cooking operation.

  • Publication number: 20060016796
Abstract: A bottom electric heating element for an oven wherein the electric heating element is positioned in a recessed portion in the oven bottom and comprises at least one corrugated ribbon of conductive material partially embedded in an insulating base. A glass panel is positioned over the recessed portion and on a compressible heat resistant gasket. The glass panel is transparent or semi-transparent, high temperature resistant and high impact resistant. A frame extends around the glass panel and fastens it to the oven bottom while partially and resiliently compressing the gasket to support the glass panel.

  • Patent number: 5909533
Abstract: A cooking oven having an electric heating element in the bottom for baking, warming and high temperature-self cleaning, and an infrared gas broiler in the top of the oven. The infrared gas broiler is supplied with a fuel gas/air mixture from a venturi tube that uses the stream of fuel gas to draw clean air into the oven from outside the oven. A flue duct is provided in the top rear of the oven for the discharge of the combusted gases but no other opening is provided, such as for secondary air that is normally required for a gas oven. The venturi tube assembly creates a fuel gas/air mixture that contains 100% of the air necessary for full combustion of that gas and a positive pressure for distributing the gas/air mixture through ceramic radiants for combustion to heat the radiants to a temperature for producing the infrared light waves.
