  • Patent number: 9255415
Abstract: A binding apparatus for binding a wire around one or more objects is provided. The binding apparatus is adapted to bind the wire such that a predetermined tension in the wire is achieved. A method of binding a wire around one or more objects so as to achieve a desired tension of the wire in the binding is also provided.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 8607696
Abstract: The present invention relates to a binding apparatus for binding a wire around one or more objects. In particular the present invention relates to a binding apparatus wherein a wire is automatically guided around the object(s). Moreover, the present invention relates to a shaping tool for shaping a wire to have a predetermined curvature.

  • Patent number: 4912972
Abstract: Wherein the length of a flexible web or string material, such as a textile material, forming a wound body or roll (10) may be determined by determining a first measure of the weight of the web or string material, determining a second measure of the weight of a predetermined length (1) of the material, and calculating the total length of the flexible web or string material on the basis of said predetermined length (1) and said first and second weight measures. Thus, a roll (10) of a textile material may be placed on a table (12) divided into sections, of which a first section (11) supports the roll while a second section (14) supports the predetermined length (1) of the material. The second section and the web material arranged thereon may be supported by a weighing cell and the whole table (12) and the web material or textile material arranged thereon may be supported be another weighting cell.

  • Patent number: 4655981
Abstract: In order to produce a decorative pattern on the surface of a layer of material in a soft plastic condition, the surface is whipped by the free end portions of a plurality of flexible thread-like members. The whipping action provides random depressions in the surface. The thread-like members are preferably fastened to the peripheral surface of a rotatable body which is spaced from the surface to be treated at a distance which is substantially smaller than the length of the thread-like members, and the surface to be treated is moved in relation to the rotatable body while this body is rotated. By this whipping action it is possible to make surface patterns imitating a slaty surface or the surface of other natural materials. Such decorative surfaces may be made on layers of materials which are cut into plates or blocks for use as building materials after firing, setting or hardening of the material. As an example, the decorative pattern or structure may be made on plates to be used as roofing plates.

  • Patent number: 4636345
Abstract: A method of rolling a plastically deformable material which behaves as a single phase and which is deformed plastically when subject to deformation forces, which material comprises from 40% to 70% by weight of hydraulic cement and/or fly-ash particles A of from 0.5 to 100 .mu.m, silica particles B of from 50 .ANG. to 0.5 .mu.m (which are at least one order of magnitude smaller than the cement/fly-ash particles A), a surface-active dispersing system present in an amount sufficient to impart to the composite material a plastic consistency in a stress field of up to 200 kg/cm sq., and from 7% to 20% by weight water; the silica particles B being homogeneously arranged in the voids between the densely packed cement/fly-ash particles A, and the amount of water substantially corresponding to the amount necessary to fill the voids between the solid particles of the composite material.

  • Patent number: 4319491
Abstract: A method and apparatus for determining at least one component of a sample of a particulate material, such as grain or seed, on the basis of a permittivity value of the sample. Before measuring the permittivity value the sample is compacted to a predetermined degree, preferably by vibrating the sample. Preferably, the sample is vibrated while being introduced into a sample container or receptacle in which the sample is exposed to an alternating electric field for determining said permittivity value.
