  • Patent number: 11340971
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to controlling communication between various applications or integrating various applications using interaction patterns. Interaction pattern data, which defines multiple roles for an interaction pattern is generated. Each role is associated with a transaction and is a source or target of a transaction. A transaction is performed using an application programming interface (API). A role can be a provider, or a consumer of the API based on whether the role is a source or target of the transaction. Application conformance data, which defines a set of roles implemented by the application is generated. An application is permitted to invoke an API of another application, if the application implements a first role and the other application implements a second role, and the first role and the second role are a source and target, respectively, of a transaction performed using the API.

  • Patent number: 9356938
Abstract: This invention relates to a method (100) for creating, on a device (200), an authorized domain (102) for sharing a (103) of a content item (104) between a first person (105) and a second person (106). The method (100) alleviates the hassle of having end-users managing authorized domains. If the first person is bound (107) to the right (103), and the device is bound (108) to the first person (105), the device (200) grants (110) the second person (106) the right (103) in response to the device (200) associating (109) to the second person (106).

  • Publication number: 20120131011
Abstract: A system having a plurality of local image storage elements storing patient images, each patient image being indexed by a local patient identifier, an identity storage element, located remotely from the local storage elements, storing a global patient identifier corresponding to each of a plurality of patients and one or more of the local patient identifiers corresponding to each of the plurality of patients and a location storage element, located remotely from the local image storage elements, storing an index of the patient images, the index including the local image storage element location of each image and the corresponding global patient identifier.

  • Publication number: 20110246239
Abstract: A system having a local image storage element storing patient studies indexed by a local patient identifier, a local identity storage element storing a local identity list including a global patient identifier corresponding to each of a plurality of patients having studies stored on the local image storage element and one or more of the local patient identifiers corresponding to each of the patients, the local identity list being a subset of a global identity list stored remotely from the local identity storage element and a local location storage element storing a local index of the patient studies stored on the local image storage element and further patient studies stored on further local image storage elements for each of the plurality of patients, the index including a storage location of each study and the corresponding global patient identifier, the local index being a subset of a global index stored remotely.

  • Patent number: 7257821
Abstract: A communication system includes a HAVi-based in-home network 140 and a remote device 110 operative to communicate with an intermediate device 130 of the in-home network via Internet. The remote device loads a HAVi applet (Havlet) 238 for controlling at least one of the in-home devices using HAVi. The remote device also loads an HAVi API (HJA) emulator 310 which emulates HJA. The HJA emulator provides an interface for the Havlet and communicates with a module 330 in the intermediate device. The intermediate device includes the actual HJA 236 which provides the actual interface functionality for the HAVi functions used by the Havlet. The interface functionality is provided by controlling the intermediate device and/or communicating with other in-home device(s) according to application messages of the in-home application protocol.
