  • Patent number: 11906531
Abstract: A detector assembly and method of detecting the presence of a biomarker, such as bilirubin, in a sample of a flowable substance and a detector unit (1) are disclosed. The method comprises providing a receiver body (2) shaped to define a receiving chamber (3). The receiving chamber (3) has an outlet opening (5) through which a flowable substance can leave the receiving chamber (3). The receiving chamber (3) has a maximum capacity for holding a volume of the flowable substance. A quantity of the flowable substance is supplied to the receiving chamber (3) and caused to pass through the outlet opening. The receiver body (2) can move relative to a guide (10) of the receive body (2) from a first position in which the outlet opening (5) is blocked to a second position in which the outlet opening (5) is not blocked. In the second position, a metered quantity of flowable substance in the receiving chamber (3) can leave the receiving chamber (3).

  • Patent number: 8386041
Abstract: In implantable medical devices such a pacemaker or cardioverter/defibrillators (ICDs) and systems including such a device and an external programmer a measure of a hemodynamic parameter such as the cardiac output, the stroke volume, or the contractility of a patient is used to trend heart failure or in an AV/VV optimization scheme. The implantable medical device is adapted to measure the cardiac impedance and the cardiac impedance data is used to determine impedance morphology curves, which, in turn, are used to compute a measure of the hemodynamic parameter.

  • Publication number: 20120109248
Abstract: A battery discharge measurement device for determining the state of discharge for a battery has a battery voltage measurement unit adapted to measure and store a battery voltage and a battery usage activity detector for detecting a predefined battery usage activity draining current from the battery and triggering a voltage recovery period. A processor unit is provided for estimating a battery voltage of the battery during the voltage recovery period based on the measured and stored battery voltage and the number of predefined battery usage activities detected since the battery voltage measurement unit measured the battery voltage of the battery.

  • Publication number: 20100185252
Abstract: In a device and method for a medical implant for monitoring progression of heart failure in a human heart, an activity sensor provides information related to the activity level of a patient and an oxygen sensor provides information related to the level of oxygen content in venous blood. A determined level of venous oxygen content at a determined activity level is obtained, and that level of venous oxygen content is compared to stored values at a corresponding activity level. The result of the comparison is used as a basis for determining a degree of heart failure.

  • Patent number: 5964050
Abstract: A screening device, intended to be detachably fastened on a bucket of a digging machine, which in a suitable way includes a hydraulically operable arm, which is arranged to be detachably fastened on the bucket. The outer portion of the arm including a plate-formed member provided with two hooks, which are intended to mesh with elements on the bucket, which are shaped to these ones, and the plate-formed member being moveably arranged in relation to the arm by hinges and a hydraulic piston cylinder.
