  • Publication number: 20230103146
Abstract: A method for producing a web of fibrous material includes the steps of: bringing the web into contact with a heated cylinder, the web being able to be elongated in a transverse direction; guiding the web, together with an elastic belt, over the heated cylinder, the web being between the elastic belt and a cylinder surface; pressing the web against the heated cylinder by the elastic belt; subjecting the elastic belt to a pre-tensioning—which is at least one of variably adjustable and controllable—in the transverse direction before being brought into contact with the web; and relieving the pre-tensioning of the elastic belt generated in the transverse direction again after formation of a steam cushion between the web and the heated cylinder, such that the web is shrunk with the elastic belt in the transverse direction in a sliding manner over the steam cushion on the heated cylinder.

  • Publication number: 20080218045
Abstract: Disclosed is a fastening arrangement for detachably fixing the forward end of the sliding rail (16) of drawer draw-out guides to an associated drawer by means of a fastening mounting (10) which can be mounted on the drawer at the forward end of the sliding rail (16) facing the front cover, “forward” being in relation to the direction of extraction. Said fastening mounting comprises a housing (18) in which the free end of a spring-biased locking protrusion (24) that is movably guided within the housing is mounted so as to engage into an elongate locking receiving device (30) that is provided in the sliding rail while being retractable from said locking receiving device counter to the spring bias. The housing (18) of the fastening mounting (10) is disposed on the bottom face of the drawer bottom (12), directly next to the sliding rail (16).

  • Patent number: 6342126
Abstract: Wire section, guidance device, and process of forming a web in a machine for producing a fibrous material web. The device include two revolving endless wire belts, a twin wire zone formed between the two revolving endless wire belts, and a revolving flexible support belt located in a vicinity of the twin wire zone and positioned to support at least one of the two wire belts in a support region. The flexible support belt is generally guided along an at least essentially circular cylindrical path, and the support region includes a support path having an average curvature radius that is greater than a curvature radius of the essentially circular path. The process includes supporting at least one of the two endless wire belts with the flexible support belt in a support region, rotating the flexible support belt along a generally circular path, and deflecting the support belt from the generally circular path in the support region, whereby the support belt in the support regions travels along a support path.

  • Patent number: 6254727
Abstract: A twin-wire former adapted to form a web of fibrous material is provided. First and second endless circulating wire bands define a twin-wire zone therebetween, and form the web of fibrous material therebetween. The first and second wire bands run over a forming roll in the twin-wire zone, where the first wire band contacts the forming roll. A reel-off point is defined as the point at which the first and second wire bands disengage from the forming roll. At least one support device extends crosswise over the second wire band. The support device is a hinged foil skimmer, and is disposed in a region of the reel-off point, and contacts the second wire band. Movement of the second wire band relative to the at least one supporting device creates an area of reduced air pressure therebetween. The method includes moving the first and second wire bands adjacent a forming roll such that the first wire band contacts the forming roll. The first and second wire bands disengage from the forming roll at a reel-off point.

  • Patent number: 5666741
Abstract: A drying section of a paper machine includes a plurality of individual drying groups, wherein the drying cylinders of a drying group are served by 2 respective dryer wire or felt that passes over drying cylinders of the drying group and presses a web to be dried against the surface of the drying cylinders. The invention is adapted for either single tier or double tier drying groups. At least one press roll is disposed between and separates two of the drying groups. In one embodiment, the at least one press roll forms a nip with the adjacent drying cylinder, either upstream or downstream, to define a dewatering nip through which the web passes. A dewatering belt passes over the press roll in the nip. The wire for a respective drying group is guided away from the dewatering nip so that only the web and the dewatering belt pass through the press nip. In alternate embodiments, two press rolls may be disposed between the adjacent drying groups, and the two press rolls define a press nip between them.
