  • Publication number: 20110300310
Abstract: A method and system for coating the functional surfaces of symmetrically serrated components, in particular the tooth flanks of gears, includes a coating source emitting coating material in the form of electrically charged particles in the direction of a revolving component. A high-quality functional surface coating of the component is achieved in that a shield is arranged in the beam path between the component and the coating source transversely to the irradiation direction, which shields the component from the coating beam in a contour area with a functional surface orientation inclined flatly with respect to the irradiation direction.

  • Patent number: 7721770
Abstract: A method for operating a device for filling a tank for storing fuel as condensed gas for a consumer that can be operated with cryogenically stored fuel. Included is at least one filling line and one extraction line for connecting to a filling device on a gas-station-side. In a first time period for cooling the tank, the condensed gas is introduced into the tank, at least the large part is extracted again in the form of gas via the extraction line, and in a second subsequent time period, the tank is filled with condensed gas at the same time as at least the displaced gas is extracted. In a subsequent third time period, the filling line is closed and the extraction line is maintained open in order to guide the gas from the tank back until the pressure and/or the temperature in the tank is/are lowered to defined values.

  • Publication number: 20090107152
Abstract: A method is provided for operating a device for filling a tank for storing fuel as condensed gas, in particular a cryotank, for a consumer that can be operated with cryogenically stored fuel, in particular an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle. The tank includes a filling device for the cryogenically stored fuel, including at least one filling line and one extraction line for connecting to a filling device on a gas-station-side. The filling process is controlled in such a manner that in a first time period for cooling the tank, the condensed gas is introduced into the tank by way of the filling line, at least the large part is extracted again in the form of gas via the extraction line, and in a second subsequent time period, the tank is filled with condensed gas at the same time as at least the displaced gas is extracted.

  • Patent number: 7377235
Abstract: A fuel supply system for an internal combustion engine operable using hydrogen and/or for a fuel cell includes a hydrogen tank, which is provided for storing deep-cooled, liquid hydrogen, and a heat exchanger, which is provided for preheating the deep-cooled hydrogen. The heat exchanger is enclosed by a fluid-tight mantle. An intermediate space is provided between the heat exchanger and the mantle, which has a fluid flowing through it, which delivers heat to the heat exchanger and insulates the heat exchanger in relation to the surroundings.

Date of Patent: May 27, 2008

  • Patent number: 7036323
Abstract: A tank for storing a cryo fuel in a vehicle with an internal storage container, an external container enveloping the internal container, and an electromagnetically switch selectable thermal bridge element which can produce or interrupt a heat conducting connection between the wall of the internal container and the wall of the external container. The thermal bridge element may be designed such that in the closed state a spatial contact area is formed between a receiving element of the thermal switch affixed to the internal container and an output element of the thermal switch affixed to the outer container. The receiving element may have a smaller thermal capacity and/or size than the output element. Either the thermal bridge or a second thermal bridge element may be adapted to cool the internal container.
