  • Patent number: 4332130
Abstract: An apparatus for infeeding textile band material to a consumer, especially for infeeding a sliver deposited in a can to a spinning machine, comprising a transport tube extending between a feed location and a consumer. There is provided means for generating, within the transport tube, an infeed flow or current which flows in the direction of the consumer. Also, holder means are operatively correlated with an inlet opening of the transport tube in order to hold a starting portion of the sliver or other band-like material, such holder means enabling seizing of the starting portion of the sliver with the aid of the infeed flow.

  • Patent number: 4329840
Abstract: In a method of and apparatus for feeding a tow to a textile machine, the leading end of the tow is automatically twisted by a vortical gas flow during transport through a tube to the machine. Preferably the vortical gas flow is also used to draw the tow through the tube.

  • Patent number: 4318206
Abstract: A coiler arrangement wherein an infeed connection leads to compaction or pressure rolls, and a mouthpiece of the infeed connection has a sliver outlet opening which is directed towards the roll nip of the pressure or compaction rolls. A compartment which is operatively connected with a negative pressure source and formed in a hood or cover member, surrounds the infeed connection and is bounded by the pressure or compaction rolls in the direction of travel or feed of the sliver. The mouthpiece flow communicates with the compartment by means of openings provided at its circumference, and between these openings and the inner surface of the mouthpiece there are formed guide surfaces.

  • Patent number: 4199333
Abstract: A filter box contains within a rotatably mounted filter, structured as a drum, a fiber preseparator cooperating with such filter. The fiber preseparator has a ventilator at its inlet and operatively flow communicates with a fiber separator. This fiber separator contains a movable plunger or equivalent structure, by means of which the separated fibers are compacted and ejected into a collecting container. The air flowing through the filter effluxes through an opening in the filter box into the machine room or area containing the textile machines with which the filter box is used. The air responsible for transport of the fibers from the preseparator into the fiber separator, following separation from the fibers, is returned back to the suction side of the ventilator and again into the preseparator. A suction tube cooperates with the inner side or wall of the rotating filter drum. This suction tube likewise flow communicates with the suction side of the ventilator by means of a dust separator.

  • Patent number: 4191358
Abstract: A shutoff device comprising a substantially tubular-shaped housing within which there is fixed at its ends an elastic hose body. The hose body extends in the lengthwise direction of the housing and forms a closable throughpassage which flow communicates an inlet opening of the housing with its outlet opening. The inner wall of the housing and the hose body bound a substantially ring-shaped pressure compartment into which opens a conduit connection arranged at the housing. The hose body has a number of folds which extend essentially parallel to one another.
