Publication number: 20240178988Abstract: A benchmarking service is engineered to provide computing performance metric benchmarks based on computing performance metrics provided from a variety of providers without being exposed to the underlying computing performance metrics. A homomorphic encryption scheme is used in a threshold cryptography scenario that allows aggregation of the computing performance metrics without decrypting the metrics. An independent decryption service can partially decrypt the benchmark, which can ultimately be decrypted to plaintext for use by the provider. Bitwise operations can be defined to address error problems, and the bitwise operations can be constrained to a smaller bit size to avoid proliferation of gates.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 28, 2022Publication date: May 30, 2024Applicant: SAP SEInventors: Axel Schroepfer, Daniel Bernau, Johannes Haasen, Kilian Becher, Lars Baumann

Publication number: 20240142921Abstract: A computer-implemented method for configuring a controller for a technical system is provided. The controller controls the technical system based on an output data set determined by the controller for an input data set, wherein the method includes: training a first data driven model with training data including several pre-known input data sets and corresponding pre-known output data sets for the respective pre-known input data sets, where the first data driven model predicts respective future values of one or more target variables for one or more subsequent time points; training a second data driven model with the training data using reinforcement learning with a reward depending on the respective future values of the one or more target variables which are predicted by the trained first data driven model, where the trained second data driven model determines the output data set for the input data set within the controller.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 18, 2023Publication date: May 2, 2024Inventors: Johannes Maderspacher, Holger Schöner, Paul Baumann, Ujwal Padam Tewari

Patent number: 11326710Abstract: A valve with an electrodynamic actuator includes a magnet device that generates a magnetic field and a drive element that is movable relative to the magnet device. The drive element is pivotally mounted and comprises a current-carrying air coil that is arranged in the magnetic field and is fixedly coupled to a coil carrier made of a non-magnetic material. Sealing surfaces for sealing valve seats are arranged on two opposite sides of the drive element, such that the sealing surfaces face in opposite directions. A housing is comprised of a plurality of plastic housing parts and a metallic encasement. The metallic encasement surrounds an upper area of the housing in which the electrodynamic actuator is arranged and at least partially surrounds a lower area of the housing in which fluid channels are arranged.Type: GrantFiled: September 15, 2020Date of Patent: May 10, 2022Inventors: Ralf Scheibe, Sebastian Hettinger, Christina Ripsam, Holger Schwab, Simone Knauss, Johannes Baumann, Christian Hartmann, Rainer Kuenzler

Publication number: 20220105266Abstract: A dosing pump, in particular a microdosing pump, has a pump chamber in which a fluid inlet is provided at a first valve seat and a fluid outlet is provided at a second valve seat. A control element is coupled to an actuator to move the control element in order to vary the pump chamber in terms of volume. The control element is movably mounted by means of a flexure hinge.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 27, 2021Publication date: April 7, 2022Inventors: Ralf SCHEIBE, Johannes Baumann, Ralf Egner, Elke Eichhorn

Patent number: 11118702Abstract: A valve includes an electrodynamic actuator which has a magnet arrangement for generating a magnetic field and a control element movable relative to the magnet arrangement. The control element includes an energizable coil which is arranged in the magnetic field and is firmly coupled to a coil carrier. The control element is movable between at least two defined positions. There are provided permanent-magnetically interacting holding force which retain the control element in at least one of the defined positions, even when the coil is currentless.Type: GrantFiled: July 16, 2019Date of Patent: September 14, 2021Inventors: Ralf Egner, Johannes Baumann, Patrick Mohs, Markus Klaiber, Rainer Kuenzler, Ralf Scheibe

Publication number: 20190195382Abstract: A valve comprising an electrodynamic actuator having a magnet arrangement to generate a magnetic field and a drive element movable relative to the magnet arrangement. The drive element is pivotally mounted and comprises a current-carrying air coil disposed in the magnetic field, and which is fixedly coupled to a coil carrier of a non-magnetic material. Sealing surfaces of sealing valve seats are arranged on two opposite sides of the drive element. The drive element is elongated, and wherein a direction of longitudinal expansion of the drive element extends substantially along a longitudinal expansion of the coil.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 18, 2018Publication date: June 27, 2019Inventors: Ralf Scheibe, Sebastian Hettinger, Christina Ripsam, Holger Schwab, Simone Knauss, Johannes Baumann, Christian Hartmann, Rainer Kuenzler
