  • Publication number: 20080259057
Abstract: An apparatus comprises a display screen (DS) for visualizing digital information page by page, and a flip bar (FB) being movable upon user activation in at least two directions for flipping pages of the digital information back and forth, respectively. Such an apparatus may be an electronic reading device mimicking a reading experience of a paper document.

  • Publication number: 20030156688
Abstract: A system and method for recording and playing back messages is described having a microphone that converts sound into electrical message signals, a memory, a motion sensor that detects motion and develops a motion signal in response to the detected motion, a speaker; and a control module in communication with the other components, along with other components. The control module can accept message signals from the microphone and store them in the memory. Upon receiving a motion detected signal from the motion sensor, the control module can retrieve the message signals from the memory and transfer them to the speaker for playback. The control module can utilize a timing control that prevents motion signals from triggering a subsequent playback until a preset period of time has elapsed.

  • Patent number: 6504062
Abstract: A process for the preparation of odor-lean polyether polyols from polyether polyol product stream obtained by reacting a starting compound having a plurality of active hydrogen atoms with one or more alkylene oxides, which process comprises the steps of: (a) contacting the polyether polyol product with an excess of acid having a pKa of less than 5 under hydrolysis conditions, (b) contacting the reaction mixture with excessive amount of water to form a two-phase system under hydrolysis conditions by adding an amount of water to form an organic phase and a water phase to reduce the amount of cyclic-ether compounds present in the polyether polyol product, and (c) recovering the odor-lean polyether polyol.

  • Publication number: 20020183560
Abstract: Process for the preparation of odour-lean polyether polyols from a polyether polyol starting product which is obtained by reacting a starting compound having a plurality of active hydrogen atoms with one or more alkylene oxides, which process comprises the steps of: (a) contacting the neutralised or unneutralised polyether polyol product with an excess of an acid having a pKa of less than 5 under hydrolysis conditions, (b) contacting the reaction mixture with water under hydrolysis conditions, and (c) recovering the odour-lean polyether polyol.
