  • Patent number: 11962978
Abstract: A remote-control unit (10) is adapted for sending a control signal with instructions as an acoustic signal for controlling a hearing assistive device (20). A calibration method comprises outputting tone frequencies applied by the control signal, receiving the output tone frequencies and compare tone frequency levels relatively to a reference, adjusting relative volumes of the tone frequencies applied by the control signal in dependence of the comparison, and storing the adjusted relative volumes of the tone frequencies for use when sending a control signal with instructions as acoustic signals.

  • Patent number: 5780732
Abstract: A process for the verification of an antilock braking system (ABS) in a vehicle to check for correct connection of the component wheel sensors (3, 4, 17, 18, 19, 20), braking pressure modulators (7, 9, 12), and brake cylinders (5, 6, 10, 11, 13, 14) is proposed. The method can be used in a new installation of the ABS or when resuming operation after repair of the system. In a first step, the user causes a single sensed wheel to rotate. This actuates a testing mode in the ABS electronic controller (8). The electronic controller (8) then actuates the modulator belonging to the rotated wheel. From the response of the sensed wheel and/or the actuated modulator, the user recognizes whether the matching between the sensor of the rotated wheel and the actuated modulator is correct. This procedure is then repeated with the other sensed wheels.

  • Patent number: 5320562
Abstract: A cap electric lamp of the type used in optical systems, for example, or as a vehicle headlamp, includes a glass lamp vessel with a first and a second neck-shaped portion in mutually opposing arrangement with seals through which current supply conductors extend to an electric element arranged in the lamp vessel. A metal sleeve is provided having a longitudinal slot around the first neck-shaped portion holding the lamp vessel with a clamping fit. This sleeve has a welding zone and a first and second clamping zone, each of which has a loop in the shape of an open hair pin. The clamping zones have respective, mutually opposing welding lugs which are interconnected by a welded joint so as to close the sleeve. A metal fixing member is provided with tongues which are welded to the sleeve in a welding zone of the sleeve. A lamp cap of insulating material is connected to the lamp vessel in which the fixing member is fixed and which has contact members to which the current supply conductors are connected.

  • Patent number: 5118169
Abstract: A control valve device is provided for a pneumatically-operated vehicle brake system equipped with an antilocking device. The control valve has a controlled inlet valve and a controlled outlet valve. A pressure medium outlet chamber may be connected to a pressure medium inlet chamber by the inlet valve and to atmosphere by the outlet valve. The pressure medium inlet chamber is divided into a first sectional chamber connected to the inlet valve and a second sectional chamber connected to the pressure medium inlet. The first sectional chamber and the second sectional chamber can be connected through an additional valve device acting as a check valve which can be moved into an open position in a direction of the first sectional chamber. In this manner, it becomes possible to achieve a pressure reduction by not directing the reflux of the pressure medium from the pressure medium outlet chamber through the pressure medium inlet chamber, but instead through the outlet valve directly to atmosphere.

  • Patent number: 4962690
Abstract: A relay valve unit having a control pressure communication line for the relay valve equipped with a reducer unit so that when activating the relay valve, any delay is either non-existent or negligibly larger than would be required for the complete opening of the relay valve.
