In at least one of the stations there is provided a screen or wall between the movement path of the vehicle and the entry or exit region for the passengers. The wall is formed with a passage opening for the passengers at the embarkation or disembarkation point.

The chairs are uncoupled from the conveying cable at the entrance into the stations, and guided through the stations, along guide rails, at a speed which is reduced in relation to the speed of the conveying cable, wherein the skiers sit on these chairs, or disembark therefrom, and the chairs are once more coupled to the conveying cable at the exit of the station. Skier-access barriers, are located in the valley station through which the skiers pass into the region of the movement paths of the chairs. A marking is provided in the region of the movement path of the chairs that indicates to the skiers the necessary positions for sitting on the chairs.

Entry and exit doors of the first group of vehicles open on a first side of the same and entry and exit doors of the second group of vehicles open on a second side, such that they face the common entry and exit area.

The sliding device is a motor-driven trolley that can be moved to and fro along the storage rail. The transportation devices are conveyed to the storage rail or storage rails by way of the conveyor device, wherein the transportation devices are pushed further and further along the storage rail by the transportation devices that follow. For transporting the transportation devices back from the storage rail or storage rails, the trolley is used, which, preferably acting upon the last transportation devices stored at the end of the storage track, pushes all the transportation devices to the conveyor device.
