  • Patent number: 5544872
Abstract: Apparatus for clamping and orienting work relative to a tool, for processing, comprising, in combination two laterally extending longitudinally separated support bars, and connector means connected to and extending between the bars for positioning them in fixed separated condition, there being work receiving space between the bars; bar leveling means extending downwardly from the bars for supporting the bars on a support bed, the means being adjustable to adjust the leveling of the bars; and work clamping pistons carried by the bars for hydraulically actuated movement toward the work receiving space for engaging and clamping the work to hold the work in fixed position relative to the bed.

  • Patent number: 4915409
Abstract: A vehicle suspension includes: a main frame extending forwardly, front and rear pairs of wheels, and transverse axles for the wheels of said pairs, two transversely spaced and forwardly and rearwardly elongated members pivotally carried by the frame to pivot about length axes defined by the members, each member having front and rear turned end portions, four supports transmitting loading to the axles near the wheels, the supports terminally supporting the turned end portions, respectively, and the supports located in offset relation to the member length axes for transverse movement relative to the axles during pivoting of the members.

  • Patent number: 4801280
Abstract: A flow guide is employed with a marine propeller having blades, and:(a) the guide is substantially cylindrical and has fore and aft opposite ends,(b) the propeller has an axis of rotation, and said flow guide has an axis, said axes being substantially coincident,(c) the flow guide having a rim defining a bore diameter at said aft end which is substantially the same as the propeller blade tip diameter, and(d) the blades having tips and the propeller having a location characterized in that the blade tips rotate adjacent said rim at the aft end of the flow guide. Typically, the guide is mounted to the hull so that the guide axis extends downwardly and rearwardly, at an angle to horizontal.

  • Patent number: 4793630
Abstract: A vehicle suspension including a main frame, front and rear pairs of wheels, and at least one axle extending between the wheels of each pair. Two forwardly and rearwardly elongated members are pivotally carried by the frame to pivot about length axes defined by the members, with each member having front and rear turnec portions. Four supports are on the axles near the wheels, the supports terminally supporting the turned end portions, respectively for pivoting about axes that extend forwardly and rearwardly, during pivoting of the members. Structure is provided to interconnect said two elongated members to transmit torque therebetween. A torsion bar may be activated between the two wheels of the front or rear pairs of wheels.

  • Patent number: 4332229
Abstract: An I.C. engine has a block, the engine forming a bore and having a crankshaft. The engine includes:(a) first and second pistons that reciprocate in that bore,(b) connection structure interconnecting the pistons, the pistons operatively connected to the crankshaft,(c) valve casing structure operatively coupled to the block, there being a first zone in the bore between the casing structure and one piston, and a second zone between the casing structure and the other piston,(d) the valves associating with the casing structure adapted to pass intake air into one of such zones and to exhaust compressed air out of the other of the zones in response to piston movement in one direction, and adapted to pass intake air into the other of the zones and to exhaust compressed air from that one zone in response to piston movement in the opposite direction.
