  • Patent number: 11969983
Abstract: A structural component for an aircraft, spacecraft or rocket has a ply of fiber reinforced polymer, a first carbon nanotube mat; and a metallic layer, wherein the carbon nanotube mat and the metallic layer are arranged on the ply of fiber reinforced polymer to form a hybrid lightning strike protection layer. A component for manufacturing such a structural component, a method for manufacturing a component of this type, a method for manufacturing a structural component and an aircraft or spacecraft with such a structural component are described.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 6, 2021
Date of Patent: April 30, 2024
Assignee: Airbus Defence and Space GmbH
Inventors: Christian Karch, Blanka Lenczowski, Johannes Wolfrum, Yehoshua Yeshurun
  • Patent number: 11777203
Abstract: An asymmetrically constructed radome for an aircraft and an aircraft having an antenna and a corresponding radome are described. The radome has a first layer with a first dielectric constant and a first layer thickness, and a second layer with a second dielectric constant and a second layer thickness. The first layer thickness and the second layer thickness are different from each other. The first layer includes a thermosetting material and the second layer includes a thermoplastic material. Such an asymmetrical radome structure improves the mechanical stability and electromagnetic transparency of the radome.

  • Patent number: 4919589
Abstract: An apparatus for supplying a stack of carton blanks from a pallet to the magazine of a carton-packing machine in which the carton blanks are arranged vertically adjacent to each other, in particular for the tobacco industry, comprises an unloading carriage which is pivotable about a horizontal axis from a substantially vertical position into a substantially horizontal position and has an unloading fork which is movable along the unloading carriage and the prongs of which in the vertical position of the unloading carriage and thus in the horizontal position of the unloading fork can be inserted beneath the stack into the gaps between the boards at the upper side of the pallet.
