  • Patent number: 11995026
Abstract: In providing USB communication functionality over a non-USB-compliant extension medium, increased latency and processing delays may be introduced, including during configuration of endpoints. In some embodiments of the present disclosure, an upstream facing port device (UFP device) and a downstream facing port device (DFP device) are used to extend USB communication across an extension medium. In some embodiments, the UFP device extracts information from packets sent between a host device and a USB device during configuration of an endpoint. In some embodiments, the UFP device sends a synthetic NRDY packet to the host device in response to a STATUS Transaction Packet to provide the UFP device and DFP device additional time to complete configuration for servicing the endpoint.

  • Publication number: 20240169395
Abstract: The disclosure herein provides systems and methods for a media enhancement system configured to associate a secondary media signal (for example, the secondary media signal can comprise an advertisement) to a primary media signal (for example, a radio broadcast). The disclosure herein additionally provides systems and methods for a media enhancement system that enables the generating, transmitting, displaying, and/or responding to a plurality of associated and/or unassociated secondary media signals, based on a primary media content from a primary media signal, user characteristics (for example, demographic and/or geographic information), and/or third-party preferences (for example, the goals of advertisers). The secondary media signals can be used to enhance the primary media content already being provided to the user on a user device. The secondary media signals can also be used to create psychological associations or relationships with the primary media content already being provided to the user.

  • Publication number: 20240167714
Abstract: Various examples described herein include various mechanisms, techniques, and methods to control atmospheric effects in a venue. For example, a method for controlling atmospheric effects in a venue is disclosed. The method includes querying and receiving a number of particulate sensors; analyzing particulate sensor-data received from the plurality of particulate sensors; making a determination whether the particulate sensor-data substantially agrees with a pre-determined target level of an environmental effect; and based on a determination that the particulate sensor-data does not agree substantially with the pre-determined target level of the environmental effect, sending a command signal to one or more haze generators to vary a haze production level; and based on a determination that the particulate sensor-data does agree substantially with the pre-determined target level of the environmental effect, making a determination whether additional haze sequences remain to be completed within the venue.

  • Patent number: 11960464
Abstract: A materialization configuration request is received via a programmatic interface from a client of a journal-based multi-data-store database. The request indicates a partitioning rule to be used to select, for respective writes indicated in committed transaction entries of a journal, the materialization node at which the writes are to be stored. A control plane component of the database verifies that a set of materialization nodes corresponding to the partitioning rule has been established, and initiates the propagation of writes from the journal to the materialization nodes by respective write appliers.

  • Patent number: 11954022
Abstract: Provided are a storage device, system, and method for throttling host writes in a host buffer to a storage device. The storage device is coupled to a host system having a host buffer that includes reads and writes to pages of the storage device. Garbage collection consolidates valid data from pages in the storage device to fewer pages. A determination is made as to whether a processing measurement at the storage device satisfies a threshold. A timer value is set to a positive value in response to determining that the processing measurement satisfies the threshold. The timer is started to run for the timer value. Writes from the host buffer are blocked while the timer is running. Writes remain in the host buffer while the timer is running. A write is accepted from the host buffer to process in response to expiration of the timer.

  • Patent number: 11953466
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for ion accumulation are disclosed. An apparatus for ion accumulation includes multiple regions. A first region receives and transfers ions to a second region using a first drive potential. The second region is switchable between a first state where it generates a first electric field preventing ions from further movement and entering a third region, and a second state where it generates a second electric field that guides the ions toward the third region. When in the first state, the ions are prevented from further movement by the first electric field, which causes the ions to accumulate in the second region. When in the second state, the ions are moved from the second region to the third region by the second electric field. A method of accumulating ions involves switching an electric field applied to a region between a trap state and a release state.
