Abstract: There is disclosed a system and method of providing electrical isolation between a telephone line and a connected device, such as a computer. In one embodiment the telephone line is 2-wire and the connected device is 4-wire and includes a feedback elimination circuit. A pair of controlled CTR opto diodes are used in the communication path to effect electrical isolation. The opto diodes are used in conjunction with an electronic inductor constructed using a pair of cascoded darlington transistors to control the telephone line voltage and current and the circuit is designed to maintain the optocouplers within their linear operating range.

Abstract: There is provided a new and useful irrigation and drainage method and apparatus, the apparatus comprising a pump for raising water via a well from a subsurface water table; a subsurface perforated piping network for distribution of water at a level between the level of the water table and the ground surface to create an artificial water table; and structure for connecting an outlet of the pump with an inlet of the piping network. Drainage piping may be provided connected to an outlet of the piping network.

Abstract: There is provided a new and useful game apparatus comprising a container and a lid therefor, the container having therein a shaker section and a shelf section; the shelf section substantially isolated from the shaker section when the lid is in position on the container and having a bottom which is spaced a predetermined distance from the top of the container such that, when the lid is in place, a die lying on the shelf is restrained against movement when the apparatus is shaken. In one embodiment the apparatus includes an integral illumination system for illuminating the interior of the container. In another embodiment the lid is hingedly connected to the container and includes a pair of protruding webs extending downwardly from the lid adjacent the hinged connection, the webs extending into the container when the lid is in the closed position, and blocking a lateral line of vision into the container when the lid is in the open position.
