    Abstract: Embodiments provided herein allow for identification of one or more regions of interest in a radar return signal that would be suitable for selected application of super-resolution processing. One or more super-resolution processing techniques can be applied to the identified regions of interest. The selective application of super-resolution processing techniques can reduce processing requirements and overall system delay. The output data of the super-resolution processing can be provided to a mobile computer system. The output data of the super-resolution processing can also be used to reconfigure the radar radio frequency front end to beam form the radar signal in region of the detected objects. The mobile computer system can use the output data for implementation of deep learning techniques. The deep learning techniques enable the vehicle to identify and classify detected objects for use in automated driving processes.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Wireless communications systems may support beamformed transmissions between devices (e.g., to improve coverage range). The beamformed transmissions may depend on discovery and maintenance of receive and transmit beams over which a given device may communicate with another device. Various receive and transmit beams for a given device may be compared using reference signals. As the number of devices attempting to access a cell increases, the number of reference signals to be transmitted may scale proportionally. Large numbers of reference signals may flood time-frequency resources of the system and/or require excessive processing at a mobile device. Scrambling sequences for reference signals may be employed to improve efficiency of resource usage. In aspects, the scrambling sequences may be implicitly determined (e.g., based on resources over which the access request was transmitted).

The precoders can be from an expanded UE codebook that maps a first number of transmit layers at the UE to a second number of antenna ports at the UE, the layers and/or antenna ports associated with multiple uplink transmit panels at the UE. The UE sends an indication to a base station (BS) of the determined precoders and/or sends an uplink transmission using the determined precoders. For non-codebook based uplink transmission the UE receives first and second reference signals (RSs), from first and second ports of a BS, with first and second UE antenna panels. The UE computes precoders to use for uplink transmission based on the RSs.

The configuration information may include an indication of an absence of a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) transmission to send in the control channel search space set indicating the identified time and frequency resources for the PDSCH, and a set of time and frequency resources for the control channel search space set. The UE may receive the configuration information and identify the time and frequency resources allocated for the PDSCH in the second TTI, and receive the PDSCH transmission in the second TTI.
