The foil element includes a dielectric carrier layer, which spans an xy plane of a Cartesian coordinate system having an x-axis, a y-axis and a z-axis, and at least one electrically conductive layer which is arranged on the carrier layer and in which a conductor track is shaped in a frame-shaped region of the foil element. The frame-shaped region is formed by the area of a larger, outer rectangle having sides each running parallel to the x-axis or y-axis, from which area the area of a smaller, inner rectangle with the same orientation as the outer rectangle is cut out. A mechanical property of the carrier layer is different along the x-axis and the y-axis. More than 50% of the length of at least one conductor track section runs obliquely with respect to the x-axis and the y-axis.
