  • Publication number: 20100169296
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed which relate to collecting, cataloguing, reproducing, and destroying records. Medical, legal, and other records from hospitals, medical offices, law offices, etc. are sent to a storage facility. Entry fields, such as name, record number, date of service, and date of birth, from each record are entered into a database. The database catalogues each record as well as the box the record is in and where the box is located. The system allows professionals to search the database over a secure connection. Multiple search fields allow a professional to search the database using any of a plurality of criterion. Search logic enables a cross-field search for a specific query. When professionals request a record, the record is pulled at the storage facility and physically or electronically sent to the professional. The system also keeps track of records eligible for destruction as well as those destroyed.

  • Publication number: 20100169348
Abstract: Devices and methods are disclosed which relate to identifying ‘duplicate’ records in a database by finding similarities between records and applying a set of heuristic rules to determine a likelihood of being a duplicate record. The weighted results of the application of the heuristic rules identify possible duplicate records in the database. Embodiments of the present invention search records comprising fields of personal information. Matches are found between records and weighted according to the degree of similarity and uniqueness. By taking account of the different modes by which duplication errors typically originate in the database to which the method is applied, these heuristic rules identify a higher percentage of actual duplicate records in the database. The heuristic rules also produce a lower rate of ‘false positives’ than the methods for identifying duplicate records in databases now known in the art.

  • Patent number: 5562208
Abstract: A tool bit storage case includes a front cover preferably hingedly interconnected with a back cover, with the covers being selectively separable and movable toward and away from each other between open and closed positions and together defining a generally hollow storage chamber therebetween. A removable pivotable tools bit holder is releasably retained within the hollow storage chamber on one of the covers and is adapted for holding one or more tool bits, with the tool bit holder being pivotal within the storage chamber in order to allow it to be selectively pivoted toward and away from the cover upon which it is retained when the covers are in the open position. The covers are also releasably snapped together, into and out of their preferred hinged interconnection, thus greatly contributing to the interchangeability of components to suit a wide variety of storage applications.

  • Patent number: 5002620
Abstract: A fiber-reinforced cellular concrete is disclosed along with methods of production of the concrete material and of building materials formed from the concrete. The invention includes diverse fractions of concrete, a relatively dense, waterproofed fraction and a lightweight fraction having essentially the same composition but with gas bubbles dispersed therethrough. A composite product is formed from the casting of the lighter fraction over the heavier fraction to form a single sheet, with the lighter fractions of separate sheets being planed and bonded together with a vapor barrier therebetween to form blocks, wall panels, beams, and the like.

  • Patent number: 4977636
Abstract: A pile supported bridge assembly is disclosed in which an array of pilings is set out in a generally regular grid pattern. Temporary support channels are placed on the pilings and cap members are placed onto the supports generally perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the bridge. Slab members are then used to span the cap members and a road surface is laid thereover, whereupon the temporary supports are removed.

  • Patent number: 4825494
Abstract: A wetland crossing bridge assembly is disclosed having a plurality of interconnected lower box support members with upstanding columnar members extending from the base thereof. Slab members are laid on the top of these column members in an overlapping arrangement and side members having a general L-shaped configuration line on each side. A conventional road surface is applied over the structural members. The structure allows the bridge assembly to absorb or dissipate stress from shifting caused by wind, water levels, etc. and the even weight distribution through the interlocking arrangement allows construction without requiring pilings sunk to underlying bedrock and with minimal adverse environmental impact.
