Publication number: 20240077932Abstract: The present disclosure describes a system with a power management device, a wakeup circuit, a battery management device, and a connector. During a powered down mode of operation, the battery management device can provide, via the connector, a bias voltage to the wakeup circuit. In response to a wakeup switch being activated, the battery management device can provide a power supply (e.g., from a battery) to the power management device. Benefits of the wakeup circuit include (1) a reduction of battery consumption—and thus improving battery lifetime—when the electronic system is in a powered down mode of operation because the wakeup circuit has lower number of active components compared to other designs and (2) a non-complex wakeup circuit design because one or more existing connector interconnects between the power management device and the battery management device can be re-used during electronic system's powered down mode of operation.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 16, 2023Publication date: March 7, 2024Applicant: Apple Inc.Inventors: Talbott M. Publication number: 20140283280Abstract: A Cold or Inclement Weather Exposure Mask is designed to fit snugly around the wearer's face, head, and neck. The mask serves vital needs of warmth, humidity, moisture management and air flow. A raised, pliable chamber covering the mouth and nose of the wearer provides a breathing space to allow normal breathing while keeping the face warm and dry. The chamber is affixed to a fabric panel made of a water and wind resistant, non-irritating, comfortable, and stretchable material. A fastening means on the panel holds the mask in place around the wearer. The chamber includes multiple apertures which allow fresh, ambient air to pass to the wearer after it is mixed with warm, humid, exhaled air. The apertures also exhaust breath, air and condensation. Colors and pattern selections allow adaptation to all labor and recreation uses.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 14, 2014Publication date: September 25, 2014Applicant: Talus Outdoor Technologies, LLCInventor: John B. Sullivan, JR.

Patent number: 8733357Abstract: A Cold or Inclement Weather Exposure Mask is designed to fit snugly around the face, head, and neck. The mask serves vital needs of warmth, humidity, and air flow. A raised, malleable chamber covering the mouth and nose provides a breathing space to allow normal breathing while keeping the face warm and dry. The chamber is affixed to a fabric panel made of a water and wind resistant, non-irritating, comfortable, and stretchable material. A fastening means on the panel holds the mask in place around the wearer. The chamber includes multiple apertures which allow fresh air to pass to the wearer after it is mixed with warm, humid, exhaled air. The apertures also exhaust air and condensation. A raised lip further aids in the removal of condensation. A valve system optionally regulates the flow of air. Colors and pattern selections allow adaptation to all labor and recreation uses.Type: GrantFiled: December 19, 2007Date of Patent: May 27, 2014Assignee: Talus Outdoor Technologies, LLCInventor: John B. Patent number: 8048414Abstract: F(ab) fragments are isolated from an antibody containing source by contacting the antibody containing source with a papain-polyacrylamide matrix to produce F(ab) and F(c) fragments which are then passed through an antigen-polyacrylamide gel capable of attracting the F(ab) fragments. F(ab)2 fragments are obtained by contacting the antibody containing source with a pepsin-polyacrylamide matrix to produce F(ab)2 and F(c) fragments which are then passed through an antigen-polyacrylamide gel capable of attracting the F(ab)2 fragments. IgG antibodies are obtained by passing an antibody containing source through an antigen-polyacrylamide gel. These processes can be used to purify a wide variety of antibodies which can be used as therapeutic agents and as diagnostic agents. Antivenins produced by these processes have substantially reduced foreign protein levels and hence are less likely to produce immunogenic reactions.Type: GrantFiled: March 15, 1995Date of Patent: November 1, 2011Assignee: BTG International Inc.Inventors: John B. Patent number: 4849352Abstract: F(ab) fragments are isolated from an antibody containing source by contacting the antibody containing source with a papain-polyacrylamide matrix to produce F(ab) and F(c) fragments which are then passed through an antigen-polyacrylamide gel capable of attracting the F(ab) fragments. F(ab).sub.2 fragments are obtained by contacting the antibody containing source with a pepsin-polyacrylamide matrix to produce F(ab).sub.2 and F(c) fragments which are then passed through an antigen-polyacrylamide gel capable of attracting the F(ab).sub.2 fragments. IgG antibodies are obtained by passing an antibody containing source through an antigen-polyacrylamide gel. These processes can be used to purifiy a wide variety of antibodies which can be used as therapeutic agents and as diagnostic agents. Antivenins produced by these processes have substantially reduced foreign protein levels and hence are less likely to produce immunogenic reactions.Type: GrantFiled: October 9, 1984Date of Patent: July 18, 1989Inventors: John B. Patent number: 4213252Abstract: The terrain objects within the data base for an aircraft flight simulation system are formed by polygon faces and include certain objects formed by repetitive patterns of equally spaced identical polygon faces. More specifically, objects such as runway markings, which are a series of elongated narrow rectangles equally spaced along the length of the runway. The image data is arranged in a particular format including instruction words for identifying the type of data in the data words following each instruction word, and for controlling the flow of data through the image processor. The image data formatted and processed includes:Initialization vectors (Vo), defining the position of landmark points (i.e., the first vertex of the initial polygon of each series of faces).Delta data (shape data), defining the position of other points, (i.e., the remaining vertices of each initial face) with respect to the initial point therefor.Type: GrantFiled: May 8, 1978Date of Patent: July 22, 1980Assignee: The Singer CompanyInventors: John B. Patent number: 4179823Abstract: The visual system within an aircraft flight simulation system receives flight data from a flight simulation computer, and terrain data from a gaming area data base. A computer within the visual system organizes this image data in a buffer memory according to a particular format, and forwards the image data to an image processor. The following types of data are formatted and processed:Position vectors, defining the changing position of the aircraft with respect to the origin of the terrain coordinate system.Rotational data, defining the changing attitude of the aircraft with respect to the terrain coordinate system.Initialization vectors, defining the position of the landmark points within the terrain coordinate system. The landmark points are translated into the aircraft coordinate system to form translated vectors.Delta data, defining the position of other points, lines, and faces with respect to the landmark points.CIF data, defining color, intensity, defocus, etc.Type: GrantFiled: January 13, 1978Date of Patent: December 25, 1979Assignee: The Singer CompanyInventors: John B.
