  • Publication number: 20040090780
Abstract: A lamp assembly that may be used as a fog lamp or headlamp includes a mounting bracket, a reflector, and an adjuster. The reflector is pivotably mounted to the mounting bracket and the adjuster is secured to the reflector. The adjuster is also secured to the mounting bracket such that rotation of an aiming screw forming part of the adjuster causes pivoting of the reflector and aiming of the lamp. The bracket and adjuster are provided in pre-assembled fashion such that the lamp may be easily attached thereto.

  • Publication number: 20030083944
Abstract: Techniques for managing data received from devices in a point of sale system are described. A point of sale system is operated utilizing independent software objects including a device sequence manager. The device sequence manager communicates with each device producing data for which proper sequencing must be maintained. Upon receiving a data event from a device, the device sequence manager creates a data object and stores the data object in an output queue. Upon receiving a request for data from an executive application, the device sequence manager retrieves the data object from the output queue and transfers it to the executive application, maintaining the sequence in which the data objects were received from the devices.

  • Patent number: 6447539
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for use in intraoperative and percutaneous procedures for supplying long-term retrograde perfusion of the myocardium via one or more conduits disposed between the left ventricle and the coronary venous vasculature. The conduits are of a selected size and number, and portions of the venous vasculature or coronary ostium are partially or completely occluded, to maintain a parameter related to the pressure attained in the venous vasculature to a value less than a predetermined value.

  • Publication number: 20010027287
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for reducing the load on a patient's left ventricle while perfusing ischemic myocardium are provided using a first conduit having an inlet end configured for insertion into the left atrium, left ventricle or aorta coupled to a second conduit having an outlet end configured for insertion into the coronary venous vasculature via the coronary ostium. A motor-driven or hydraulically-actuated pump may be coupled between an outlet end of the first conduit and an inlet end of the second conduit to direct flow between the first and second conduits. Control circuitry is provided for use with the motor-driven pump to control the pump with a user selected duty cycle.

  • Patent number: 6186972
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for supplying retrograde perfusion of chronically ischemic myocardium by forming one or more transmural passageways between a cardiac chamber and the coronary venous vasculature. The placement, size and number of the passageways are selected, and portions of the venous vasculature or coronary ostium optionally partially or completely occluded, to maintain a parameter related to the pressure attained in the venous vasculature to a value less than a predetermined value.

  • Patent number: 6017136
Abstract: An adjusting apparatus for the reflector in an automotive lamp assembly has a screw, a mounting clip for mounting the adjusting apparatus to the reflector, and a retainer clip for positioning the adjusting apparatus such that it can properly adjust the reflector. The adjusting apparatus can be installed as a unitary piece through the lens, or through the support from of the automotive lamp assembly. The adjusting apparatus reduces the labor required to assemble the automotive lamp assembly and the number of parts the assembler must keep in inventory. Thus, the overall cost to produce a completed automotive lamp assembly is reduced.

  • Patent number: 5694397
Abstract: Packet based telecommunications networks are being developed to carry Constant Bit Rate (CBR) data streams between source and destination exchanges in the form of multiplexed packets, which are recombined at the destination exchange into a CBR stream. In such a network it is desirable to synchronise the frequency and maintain the phase relation of the recombined CBR stream with those of a source CBR stream arriving at the source exchange. The described synchronising circuit for use in such a network comprises a local oscillator (46), a local Residual Time Stamp (RTS) generator (50) arranged to determine a local RTS value (51) from the local oscillator frequency, a comparator (52) to determine the difference between the local RTS value (51) and a source RTS value (41) extracted from packets received at a destination exchange (10), and an oscillator controller (54) responsive to the difference to adjust the frequency and phase of the local oscillator to maintain the difference constant.
