Abstract: A protective container for motor vehicle seating which is adapted to hold a child safety seat is provided. The protective container includes a bottom panel having upper and lower faces and peripheral edges, as well as front, back and lateral sidewalls extending upwardly from each of the peripheral edges to define an enclosed, liquid-proof space surrounding a child safety seat receiving location on the upper face. The enclosed, liquid-proof space is adapted to contain liquids and other debris to protect at least a horizontal surface of the motor vehicle seating. Padding is located on the lower face of the bottom panel.
