    Abstract: In a metal spinning process and apparatus for necking down a container having an open end, a closed end and generally cylindrical inner and outer surfaces, a resilient pressure bladder is inserted into the container prior to the necking down operation. Pressure is maintained in the bladder throughout the operation to prevent crumpling of the container body. The invention is particularly useful on thin walled, deep drawn steel containers.
