  • Publication number: 20240125253
Abstract: A valve actuation system comprises a first arm having a first arm contact surface and operatively connected to a valve actuation motion. A second arm having a second arm contact surface is operatively connected to the at least one engine valve. A discrete lost motion device is provided that is controllable between a first, motion conveying state and a second, motion absorbing state. The discrete lost motion devices comprises a plunger contact surface and a housing contact surface. The housing contact surface is configured to engage one of the first or second arm contact surfaces, and the plunger contact surface is configured to engage another of the first and the second arm contact surfaces. The first and second arm contact surfaces, the housing contact surface and the first plunger contact surface are configured to support the discrete lost motion device between the first arm and the second arm.

  • Patent number: 5667563
Abstract: An air ionization device for use in industrial, commercial or residential settings which includes a core section shaped to provide internal venturi action in order to force air outwardly from an ozone manifold. Air fins are provided at the front of the cabinet to prevent turbulence of air as it exits the cabinet. The device further includes electronics for providing controlled negative ozone and ionization output, and a 12 VDC power supply for operating system fans and relays. The device can operate as a master unit to control up to four slave units (i.e. up to five units on one system) for providing even distribution of ions and ozone over large industrial areas. In addition, various features are provided to allow for facile servicing of the device, including a purging hose mounted inside the core, removably replaceable ionization needles, and ozone relief holes positioned directly behind the ionization needles for constantly purging the needles and keeping them clean.

  • Patent number: 4412521
Abstract: An evaporative carburetor has a normally pressure-tight chamber which houses an evaporator tray to which a fuel supply delivers gasoline. A first air passage in the carburetor chamber communicates from a first, automatically-valved, air inlet to pick up gasoline particles and vapor from the evaporator tray. A second air passage communicates from the evaporator tray to a mixing region and includes a particle arrester. A heater maintains the evaporator tray and the second passage above a selected temperature. A second, externally-controlled, valved inlet feeds air to the mixing region, and a third air passage communicates from the mixing region to a throttled output port. An aqueous control liquid is injected into the air stream in the third passage.

  • Patent number: 4108460
Abstract: An amplified steering system for a bicycle having a canted steering wheel is provided wherein the handlebar steering column which has a crank arm mounted thereon, is axially off set from the front wheel steering column, which has a smaller crank arm mounted thereon, the two crank arms being connected by a pivotably mounted crank shaft such that a turn of the handlebars is amplified to a greater turn of the steering column and wheel.
