    Abstract: The present invention provides a water-soluble or water-dispersible particulate pharmaceutical composition comprising, per one part by weight of glycyrrhetinic acid and/or glycyrrhetinic acid derivative (as hereinbefore defined), 10 to 100 parts by weight of lactose and/or sorbitol, 10 to 50 parts by weight of at least one buffer selected from sodium citrate, potassium citrate, sodium tartrate, potassium tartrate, sodium malate and potassium malate and 0.1 to 10 parts by weight of disodium edetate.

    Abstract: A concentrated fabric softening composition comprising water-insoluble cationic softener and a viscosity control system comprising a first component selected from non-cyclic hydrocarbons, fatty acids and esters thereof and fatty alcohols, and a second component which is a water-soluble cationic polymer having a molecular weight of 2000 to 250,000, selected from polyethylenimine, ethoxylated and propoxylated polyethylenimines and quaternized polyethylenimines. The composition has improved viscosity and stability at both normal and elevated temperatures.
