Patent number: 11953466Abstract: Methods and apparatus for ion accumulation are disclosed. An apparatus for ion accumulation includes multiple regions. A first region receives and transfers ions to a second region using a first drive potential. The second region is switchable between a first state where it generates a first electric field preventing ions from further movement and entering a third region, and a second state where it generates a second electric field that guides the ions toward the third region. When in the first state, the ions are prevented from further movement by the first electric field, which causes the ions to accumulate in the second region. When in the second state, the ions are moved from the second region to the third region by the second electric field. A method of accumulating ions involves switching an electric field applied to a region between a trap state and a release state.Type: GrantFiled: May 21, 2021Date of Patent: April 9, 2024Assignee: MOBILion Systems, Inc.Inventors: John Daniel DeBord, Liulin Deng, Gordon A. Publication number: 20240110891Abstract: An apparatus for ion manipulation having improved duty cycle that includes a pre-filter region and an accumulation region. The pre-filter region is configured to receive ions and perform a first ion mobility filtering operation on the ions to separate the ions into a first group of ions and a second group of ions based on mobility of the ions. The accumulation region is configured to receive the first group of ions from the pre-filter region, accumulate the first group of ions into an ion packet, and release the ion packet into an ion mobility separation region configured separate the ions based on mobility of the ions. Wherein the pre-filter region is configured to reduce the amount of ions provided to the accumulation region and increase the amount of time the accumulation region can accumulate ions.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 5, 2023Publication date: April 4, 2024Applicant: MOBILion Systems, Inc.Inventors: John Daniel DeBord, Liulin Deng, Nathan Paul Roehr

Publication number: 20240070574Abstract: An embodiment includes creating an action item record corresponding to an action item of an action plan record that is responsive to a service request. The action item record comprises a service requirement of the action item. The embodiment executes a querying process that searches vendor records for candidate vendors associated with the service requirement and returns a set of candidate vendors. The embodiment updates the action item record with the set of candidate vendors and determines an optimal vendor team based at least in part on reputation data and cost data associated with each of the candidate vendors. The embodiment updates the action plan record to include the optimal vendor team, which triggers creation of a vendor team dispatch request.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 21, 2022Publication date: February 29, 2024Applicant: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Soumitra Sarkar, Yu Deng, John Alan Bivens, Muhammad Jawad Paracha, Ruchi Mahindru

Publication number: 20070281714Abstract: Determining the location of a radio tag or client station of a wireless network, and the location of coverage holes by receiving from a plurality of wireless stations of the wireless network path loss information of the path loss of one or more location frames received at the respective wireless stations. The location frames transmitted by the radio tag or client station having a pre-defined frame structure. The radio tags and client stations use a common infrastructure for transmitting a location frame configured for radiolocation by path loss measurement. The common infrastructure includes a pre-defined protocol common for both radio tags and client stations for transmitting information for reception by the plurality of stations of the wireless network for radiolocation. The pre-defined protocol includes using the location frame having the pre-defined frame structure.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 21, 2007Publication date: December 6, 2007Inventors: Bretton Douglas, Timothy Olson, David Halasz, John Deng, Arnold Bilstad, Sheausong Yang, Richard Rebo, Jonathan Leary, Daryl Kaiser

Patent number: 6985181Abstract: An image sensor includes a sensor or a pixel array, a data memory, and a logic circuit, all fabricated on the same integrated chip. The sensor or pixel array outputs digital signals as pixel data representing an image of a scene. The data memory is coupled to the sensor or pixel array for storing the pixel data. The logic circuit is coupled to the data memory and provides a memory interface for exporting the pixel data. The memory interface can be one of a SRAM, a DRAM or a packet protocol synchronous DRAM interface. Including a memory interface in the image sensor allows the image sensor to be coupled directly to the memory interface port of an external image processing unit. The image processing unit can access the image sensor using conventional memory access protocols, thus improving the efficiency and reducing the operational complexity of the image processing unit.Type: GrantFiled: January 3, 2001Date of Patent: January 10, 2006Assignee: Pixim, Inc.Inventors: Odutola Oluseye Ewedemi, Zhonghan John Deng, Ricardo Jansson Motta, David Xiao Dong Yang
