  • Publication number: 20170004463
Abstract: A plurality of billers are enrolled in a by-item bill payment program. An invoice is obtained from a given one of said billers, including multiple charges corresponding to at least one of goods and services purchased from the given one of said billers by a first payor. The invoice is modified, based at least in part on said enrolling step, to generate at least one modified invoice including multiple charges corresponding to at least one of goods and services purchased from the given one of said billers by said first payor, the multiple charges being handled under different payment terms. The at least one modified invoice is sent to said first payor; payment from said first payor is obtained; and the obtained payment is allocated. • Publication number: 20170004467
Abstract: An authorization request for a payment transaction is obtained, from a given one of a plurality of billers, over a payment network having a standard clearing and settlement time period. Via the payment network, a special IOU approval authorization request response to the authorization request for the payment transaction is passed, indicating that the given one of the plurality of billers will be paid in connection with the payment transaction after expiration of a grace period from a time of the authorization request, regardless of whether funds are available for an account associated with the payment transaction. The grace period is longer than the standard clearing and settlement time period. The payment transaction is not settled until expiration of the grace period.

  • Publication number: 20170004498
Abstract: An authorization request for a payment transaction is obtained, from a given one of a plurality of billers, over a payment network having a standard clearing and settlement time period. Via the payment network, a special incremental payments approval authorization request response to the authorization request for the payment transaction is passed, indicating that the given one of the plurality of billers will be paid in connection with the payment transaction in a plurality of incremental payments made in time increments over a selected time period following the authorization request, optionally regardless of whether funds are available for an account associated with the payment transaction. The selected time period is longer than the standard clearing and settlement time period. The payment transaction is not settled until expiration of the selected time period.

  • Publication number: 20150240540
Abstract: A door guard assembly is provided comprising: a first part that is attachable to a door; a second part that is attachable to a door frame; an elongate member; a slidable plate that comprises a receiving means; wherein the first part and/or the second part and/or the elongate member further comprise(s) a dampening means; and, wherein the elongate member is attached to the first part or the second part and in use can be engaged with the receiving means of the plate located on the other first or second part respectively when the plate is slid into an operating position such that the receiving means engages the outer surface of the elongate member as the door is opened and the receiving means and elongate member thus limit the opening of the door, and the dampening means absorbs an impact force that may be applied to the door whose opening has been limited in this way.

  • Publication number: 20120179430
Abstract: A method, apparatus, article of manufacture, and computer readable storage medium provide the ability to create a geometric model in a computer-aided design (CAD) application. Direct graphical manipulation via user interaction is used to create the geometric model in the CAD application. The direct graphical manipulation is captured, without additional user input, as one or more lines of script code as if the user is writing the script code. The captured script code is integrated into an environment hosted by the CAD application. The script code is then displayed where it can be modified. The modification of the script code acts to modify the geometric model.

  • Patent number: 8044823
Abstract: Methods for determining need for treating a vehicle travel surface include sensing, at a first time, a characteristic of a vehicle travel surface from a mobile sensor. Sensed characteristics include temperature, friction coefficient, material volumetric buildup, e.g., composition, such as an amount or percentage of ice or snow, density, depth, freeze point and chemical concentrations. The sensed characteristic is recorded as a first measurement in a database, and GIS information correlating a location with the first measurement is attached. The characteristic of the vehicle travel surface is sensed at a second time, at the location, and recorded in the database, for example as a second measurement. GIS information correlating the location with the second measurement may be attached, and the first and second measurements compared.
