Abstract: An apparatus for installing an advertising sign is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a support structure; a lifting system fixed to the support structure; a top rail supported on the lifting system such that the top rail can be raised and lowered between a lowered mounting position and a raised display position; and a bottom rail fixed to the support structure. The lifting system comprises a cord operable to raise the top rail to the upper display position. The top rail comprises a longitudinally extending channel adapted to engage a top periphery of an advertising sign, and the bottom rail comprises a longitudinally extending channel adapted to engage a bottom periphery of an advertising sign. A method for installing an advertising sign is also disclosed. A system and a method of retaining a flexible sheet are also disclosed.

Abstract: A flexible frame for an advertising panel is described. The flexible frame has a mutually engageable fastening means, especially, but not exclusively for attachment to a vehicle. The flexible frame could alternatively be attached to a fixed structure.

Abstract: An advertising panel which can be used to selectively attach advertisements to the sides of road vehicles in a readily demountable manner includes a sheet of plastic mesh material and fasteners, the sheet having an image applied to a first side of the sheet. The fasteners are reclosable interlocking fasteners adapted to engage with corresponding interlocking fasteners provided on the vehicle. The corresponding fasteners may be provided on a rigid wall or a vehicle curtain. The mesh allows air to pass through the panel so that the panel remains securely mounted without flapping in transit. The system requires minimal structural alterations to a vehicle to enable it to carry advertising panels, and allows advertising panels to be changed easily.
