  • Publication number: 20240048571
Abstract: The present invention provides an integrated, context-aware, security system that provides an adaptive endpoint security agent architecture model for a continuously monitoring and recording activity across an enterprise, specifically monitoring activity on endpoints, and subsequently detecting and blocking any malicious processes that may otherwise invade the enterprise and cause issues. The endpoint security agent architecture exposes a well-defined, public interface to the event data generated by the endpoint security agent in the form of a custom programming language by which a user can define the logic that the endpoint security agent executes in response to event data to perform detection of and response to suspicious activity.

  • Publication number: 20210148222
Abstract: A system configured to operate along a bottom hole assembly of a drill string in a downhole drilling environment includes a short-range telemetry sub having at least one receiving antenna and at least one transmitting antenna. The system also includes a computing device coupled to the at least one receiving antenna and the at least one transmitting antenna. The computing device is configured to, in response to receiving a signal, filter the received signal to generate a filtered signal, convert the filtered signal to a digital signal; and process the digital signal to reduce signal noise.

  • Patent number: 9756503
Abstract: A method of user authentication by an application (1a) on a mobile telephony device (1) comprises authenticating the user by interaction with the application (1a), communicating with a remote authentication service (4) to receive a call identifier; and sending the call identifier within a telephone call to the remote telephony service (9), by means of which the user is authenticated to the remote telephony service (9). The mobile telephony device may receive a service code linked to the remote telephony service, and the call identifier may be based on this code. The service code may be captured or entered manually into the mobile device, or obtained from an application on the mobile device (1), such as a mobile banking application. The call identifier may be hidden within the call using audio steganography. The authentication service (4) may link the user to a remote service account ID, which is sent to the remote server.

  • Publication number: 20140290080
Abstract: An adjustable combination square includes a longitudinally extending blade slidably received within a slot in a head. A movable clamping member is engaged with the blade, and a biasing member acts on the clamping member to normally bias the clamping member toward an engaged position in which the blade is engaged against a surface of the slot. A manually operable pivotable actuator arrangement is carried by the head. Actuation of the pivotable actuator arrangement applies a force to the clamping member that works against the biasing member so as to selectively move the clamping member away from the engaged position to enable the blade to be moved axially relative to the head. Releasing the pivotable actuator arrangement releases the force so that the biasing member returns the clamping member to the engaged position to maintain the blade in position relative to the head.

  • Patent number: 8806486
Abstract: Embodiments provide techniques for customers to easily, quickly and remotely manage their virtual data centers. Using, for example, a “single pane of glass” GUI view which shows all of the components (including e.g., machines (cpu and RAM), network services (load balancers, firewalls, network address translation, IP management) and storage) of their virtual data centers, provides a complete overview and a starting point for system or component management. According to embodiments, a Roles Based Access Control (RBAC) system is provided which simulates the organizational structure and workflow of a typical IT department to enable workflow management via the GUI for any component or function of a customer's virtual data center.
