  • Patent number: 5634828
Abstract: A clip is used for receiving one of a plurality of wires of various sizes. The clip includes a non-movable portion including a wire receiving surface and a movable portion disposed at least partially externally of the non-movable portion. The movable portion includes a wire engaging surface disposed opposite and facing the wire receiving surface, with the surfaces defining wire receiving jaws operable between a closed jaw condition and an open jaw condition. A biasing element is coupled to the portions biasing the surfaces to the closed jaw condition. The movable portion is reciprocally movable from the closed jaw condition to the open jaw condition against the urging of the biasing element.

  • Patent number: 5250896
Abstract: A hand-held contact tachometer includes an elongated hollow handle comprising two interconnected members defining a clevis at one end thereof and carrying therewithin a magnetic sensor disposed adjacent to the clevis and conditioning circuitry coupled to the output of the sensor. The clevis has hub portions defining an axle on which is rotatably mounted a contact wheel of molded construction including a body of non-magnetic material in which is embedded a toothed magnetic wheel and a bearing. The wheel is provided with a frictional ribbed surface on its outer periphery to facilitate engagement with an associated moving surface, thereby rotating the wheel to generate a pulsating signal having a frequency proportional to the speed of the moving surface.

  • Patent number: 5057249
Abstract: A device for draining carburetors which do not have a float chamber drain. The device is a screw which has an internal passageway. The internal passageway has a longitudinal passageway beginning at the head of the screw and a transverse passageway which communicates with the float chamber and intersects the longitudinal passageway. A drain plug is threaded into the longitudinal passageway near the head of the screw.

  • Patent number: 4964300
Abstract: A space particle collector for recording the time specific particles are captured, and its direction at the time of capture, utilizes an array of targets, each comprised of an MOS capacitor on a chip charged from an external source and discharged upon impact by a particle through a tab on the chip that serves as a fuse. Any impacting particle creates a crater, but only the first will cause a discharge of the capacitor. A substantial part of the metal film around the first crater is burned off by the discharge current. The time of the impulse which burns the tab, and the identification of the target, is recorded together with data from flight instruments. The metal film is partitioned into pie sections to provide a plurality of targets on each of an array of silicon wafers, thus increasing the total number of identified particles that can be collected. It is thus certain which particles have been captured at what specific times.

  • Patent number: 3996458
Abstract: A novel decorative ceiling comprising:1. a grid of T-bar runners and cross members,2. a flat horizontal rigid plastic sheet, preferably having a pattern of areas transmissive to light and areas opaque to light, the edges of which rest on said T-bars,3. a source of illumination in the plenum above said grid,4. adhesively joined to said sheet and extending downwardly from transmissive areas, a plurality of plastic cells having planar sides, said cells being open at their bottom ends, the planar sides of adjoining cells being spaced apart by a distance at least equal to the width of the horizontal portion of said T-bars.Also, the subcombination, adapted to be supported at its edges by T-bars, comprising:1. a flat horizontal rigid plastic sheet having a pattern of areas transmissive to light and areas opaque to light the edges of which rest on said T-bars,2.
